Underdog Studio

We used underdog for several days in production of an online course and could not have been more satisfied. Robbies studio is tucked away in a very quiet corner of a large building in central Brighton so was very good in terms of background noise. In addition, his lighting set up is robust and easy to use so the shots came out beautifullly.I would highly recommend this studio and thank Robbie for being such an accomodating host!

My band Tenderhooks shot a music video at Robbie McCallums Underdog Studio in Brighton yesterday. With a 6m wide greenscreen we had more freedom of movement which with reflect in the final edit. An excellent experience and we can't wait to see the finished product. I highly recommend the studio and Robbies expertise.

Loved it. Huge green screen with properly diffused lighting for unbelievable results. A lovely ambience, with very much the feel of a TV studio. Not to forget the reassuring warm welcome from the very capable and professional Robbie.

Really great studio to work in! Normally when I arrive on set there’s hours of waiting around whilst camera and lighting men set up- got to Underdog and this was already done by the studio. Also really impressed by how many different backdrops and set ups can be achieved in just the one place. Such a time saver and in a really cool location as well!

To me this video studio in the heart of Brighton is an impressive setup. The kit is top range and acoustically the space is great. I like the large internal window for natural light yet I can hear no noise from outside but if I want lighting there are no cables about and lights are on runners and get moved around in seconds saving time so I can keep focused. There is a green screen which I’ve used for my website. I have made important recordings there now several times and as Robbie is an experienced Writer and Director he knows how to achieve excellent results and his professionalism has helped me in getting a great performance. If you need video for anything, I would genuinely recommend that you take a look.

My first time with Robbie at Underdog studio, and wow, just wow, what a great experience. The studio easy to find, and park near by, well central Brighton, that's a bonus, the access was very easy, lifts for any gear. The studio has some amazing lighting, best bit for me, no wires all over the floor, all up out of the way, the studio just has quality all around, very professional, as was Robbie in everything he did, from meeting us out side, from the rundown on how things were going to be done, he has a great way of putting you at ease, via his knowledge and professionalism. Yes I would really recommend Underdog, definitely going back, soon

Easy to get to location with good access. Great cosy studio with large green screen offering. Good lighting and acoustics. Robbie is very welcoming and helpful.

The Underdog studio is one of the best in Brighton. It’s so close to the station it’s practically in South London. The studio is very reasonably priced and comes with an extensive lighting rig all included. It’s very accessible, so it’s easy to load gear in and out. The scissor booms make lighting a breeze and save SO much time! Unlike most other studios the space is really well sound proofed so recording high-quality audio is effortless. Thanks for all your help, Robbie, I can’t recommend the space enough!
