I started work here and left within 1 month got final pay with £100 deduction for training costs, wouldn't mind but you don't even get paid for training also get charged for your uniform which should be provided as its apart of ppe. Joke of a company, advise anyone thinking of joining them to find a job elsewhere. There's plenty of other caring jobs with better pay and don't rip you off.

The irony of being a Care company when there is actually no care towards employees only exploitation.Sad but true.Charged £25 for paper ID badge and a £25 for a worktop. £100 for training. Paid own business insurance for the car and own DBS think cost more working as wages only cover call times!

This company is the perfect example of care companies who exploit their staff. You are paid per job and not the hourly rate as advertised for the hours you’ve actually worked, you’re not paid the travel time in-between calls. Once you’ve been on your induction for 2 days prior to offering you the position they then hand you your contract of employment which states if you leave the company after your induction you’re charged a £100 levy fee? your booked on your shadow shift and off you go, Then find out on your first payslip that your paid per job and not for the hours you’ve actually worked! If you’ve actually worked 5 hours from your first call to your last including the time you’ve travelled inbetween you will only be paid for the calls you have attended so you miss out on at least 2.5 hours a day and some calls they don’t even give you any travel time even though you have to travel as they arnt next door to eachother. They do not tell you about this procedure obviously you find out on your first payslip. If you do decide to leave they are at least £100 up as they will deduct your first 2 days of training which is £100 and your paid the buttons for only half the time you’ve been at work. Leaving you completely out of pocket. Exactly why they need to change the contract policies and procedures when it comes to employing care assistance who are out in the community.

Worked at SOS for nearly a year before I moved to Cumbria ,really enjoyed my time there nice people to work for . Great little job , miss the place would recommend.

I've worked at soshomecare for 8 years, longer than anybody else apart from 3 people in the office,I'm about to leave as the managemen is becoming unbearable ,drivers are expected to drive co-workers around for nothing and certain office staff tend to work on spite ,I've watched people come and go whilst I've worked her but after handing in my notice not a single person has asked why I'm leaving ,in fact I've had no rota for the past 2 weeks.I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody
