The Royal George
Food was overcooked and ridiculously expensive. Pie, peas and mash £15. Mash had no flavour. Was bland and unseasoned. Couldn’t taste the butter in what was supposed to be buttery mash. Service took 40 mins on a quiet day. Bar is pretty nicely decorated but need to up their game in the kitchen

So it's a bit of a wierd one, j didn't eat so I can't comment on food, the staff were great but it was empty, so they couldn't be stressed, and also as it was empty, the atmosphere was also a bit empty! They've, the new owners, have done a great job inside, sadly outside has fallen short, and screams of the old horrific pub that was here b4, and I think will put people off, basically the outside does not do the inside justice, it's a great space and I really hope it gets the new and old clientele it deserves as they put alot of effort into the interior...I will be back, and try some food soon!

Very friendly, helpful staff - gave me advice on which wine to try. Amazing interior design - very impressed. Stylish yet comfortable and a great playlist. My new regular!

Gorgeous interior and fabulous staff. Bar staff and Security were amazing and good craic. The cocktails are divine. Music was fantastic and exactly what George Street needed. Best selection of beers I have seen in a long time. A breath of fresh of air.

Amazing place great staff and food , the security on the 9/12/33 made a women in a wheelchair who’s elderly wait outside for a taxi and made another customer cry. The staff in the pub are wonderful but this security was awful man’s proceeded to say we were narcissists for wanting to keep this lady safe. The company was revolute security most members are lovely especially loyd. Overall would go but some security need to go

A really welcome addition to George Street.Friendly crowd and staffWe watched the rugby on a Friday and Saturday night and they lots of screensWe ate from their burger menu and both were really good and there were plenty of other options

Very smart, plenty of seating, nice ambience, and clean. Good selection of pale ales and lagers. Good pint of Guinness. It's not ideal if you only drink real ale. Couldn't see any, although there were two pumps. Nice steak burger, chips, and salad. Friendly staff.

Very vibey place, very tasty food and the staff here were wonderful! i would definitely recommend as a place to pop by for some lunch or dinner, as well as really good music taste!

Really lovely pub, very friendly and welcoming staff.We visited on Sunday 24th September to discover they now cater roast dinners. We had already eaten but the menu looked good and included vegan options so we'll definitely go back. Plus they do roasts up to 8pm when most places stop by 6pm or 7pm.Great choice of beers and ales.Highly recommended The Royal George.
