Stainmore Cafe

Called in twice, made very welcome and served great and great value food. Toilets always clean and tidy, as is the cafe area.

Transport cafe minus the filth. Spotless clean including toilets. Food wholesome and huge portions. Friendly staff. Prices very reasonable. Small breakfast with coffee 5 quid. I'm not a small guy and the small breakfast was more than enough for me. 7quid to park for night and 10 with a 5Quid food voucher. Parking sadly full of monster size holes. Low light bars and side skirts need watching.

I just had the absolute best cappuccino in my life. This place is a hidden gem. The person on the table next to me was having the hugest omelette in the Universe and the fries with it smell so good. It's also spotlessly clean.

Very rude staff. We stopped during a long journey back from my Nana’s funeral as we needed the toilet and a brief stop. When we arrived we couldn’t find a place to pay for parking and checked the outside toilets, but they were very unclean, blocked, smelled vile and there was no toilet paper, soap or paper towels. So we went round to the cafe and noticed the sign about toilets only being for customers, we agreed that was fair enough so decided to go and order something. As I was looking at the chalkboard menu the woman behind the counter shouted at us saying ‘What do you want?’, I said ‘Sorry I’m just looking at the menu’, again she shouted the same thing, both times in a very rude way. So I looked back to my husband and we decided to leave it as it was a very unfriendly welcome. As we were leaving she shouted again telling us to shut the door, my husband sarcastically thanked them for their service, I apologised and we left.Unclean services and needing to buy something to use cleaner ones is expected, but when people are aggressively rude to strangers, they shouldn’t be in a customer service position. I’d avoid it at all costs if you value working facilities, politeness or just common decency. There are better services less than ten minutes away at the petrol station.

Called in for cup coffee got latte and americano to take out . £2.50. EachLooks like it's popular with the truckers .. plenty of choice on the menu's . Reasonable priced . Nice and clean inside an the toilets where too .

Word of warning…. If you’re stopping here, I hope you’re hungry! Fantastic food, and mahoosive servings! Brilliant!
