Charnwood stoves are a pleasure to deal with anytime I have been on the phone. They have a great range of stoves to offer and the controls on the stoves make it much easier to use with a fantastic grate system. Charnwood after sales service is very good at getting spare parts out to the end user very quick . I would highly recommend these stoves as they are a great investment.

I ordered a part on-line from the spares shop on October 30th. It arrived at our home in Dublin this morning (November 1st). Thank you Charnwood, for a stellar performance!!Tony

If you're planning on buying a top quality stove - please make sure you research this brilliant firm.I've recently had a Charnwood C5 fitted (on the recommendation of our area's leading fireplace firm) and I'm chuffed to bits with it!I didn't think we were typical stove buyers because our decision wasn't motivated by energy conservation/self sufficiency (those were an added bonus); our 'want list' was based on the aesthetics of the burner (with the largest glass door possible) & the idea of a roaring log fire with the lowest maintenance available! Our fantastic local firm reassured me that we are quite typical buyers - and whilst they often deal with the 'stove afficionado' end of the market (as it's a passion of the company owners), much of their business comes from 'I want a pretty one that's easy to look after' buyers like us! They came to inspect our fireplace, took measurements, photographs & also internal photos of our chimney. They sent me a list of the stoves that would fit my current fireplace and made comments about each one. We chose the Charnwood Stove that they highly recommended & visited their Showroom to choose the colour of the stove & handle (cream burner, oak handle, cream pipework)! At the end of the installation day, the fitters spent thirty minutes giving me a 'novices guide to getting the best out of my new Charnwood stove'. Just things like: How to light it (with a demonstration), The efficiency of different types of wood, The way to gain maximum heat for minimum burn, When and how to top up the fire, How to control the air flow into the stove (amazingly simple) and how that impacts it's efficiency, How and when to empty it of the ash and charcoal, How often to have it serviced & what things to avoid doing. They kept saying - 'any questions or problems (no matter how small), please just call the showroom and we'll sort it out immediately'. Some of the most surprising things I learnt were: We wouldn't need to clean out the ashes/charcoal on a daily basis - usually once a week is fine, it's good to leave about an inch layer of ash in the stove for the logs to burn on! We wouldn't need to chop, store and dry our own wood (although that would be the most eco friendly and cost effective method) but we could have bags of kiln dried logs delivered (by the pallet or fewer) at a price I was pleasantly surprised at. Anyhow, the installation service, the beautiful superb quality stove and the after sales service has been exceptional. Thanks so very much all at Charnwood and a huge thankyou to Jason. Melanie, Neil and the staff at the SCARLETT FIREPLACE showroom in Southend- you all deserve to be the market leaders that you obviously are.

Customer services for spare parts is poor, they don't phone you if there is a problem and seem to not care if there is a problem. still waiting for parts to arrive with no firm dates in sight and we can't order the bits elsewhere as Charnwood make them. Only great bit is Bob on the technical side, he is great and explains why your fire has gone wrong, and that most fire parts only last 3-4 years, unlike ye olde open fires.
