Sadly on this visit, only 1 member of staff on the shop floor and it was only 11 in the morning but the place was busy. Three people waiting to be served and the chap was doing brilliantly, but more staff needed.Could have made quite a few sales in a short space of time with a few more staff in place

Really upset by my experience today and won't be re-visiting. I was told off" by the store manager for re-ordering a pair of shoes online rather than coming into store. I wanted to return the pair of shoes I had brought in store which were provided in the incorrect size. When I confronted him about his rudeness he told me

Until last year I would have given a 5 star but not anymore. Although we have been using this shop for many years, noticed that most staff are new , all the professional ladies who worked there in the kids section are no longer working there, this shop has turned in to just a normal ordinary shop. Nothing special about it anymore , especially with its customer service. I would say Don't trust 100% when purchasing for your little kids"

Staffed by the same friendly team that have recently moved from the High Street location. The shop is bright and airy with plenty of room to try shoes on. Unlike the previous location, everything is now on the same floor. This store is one of the first to be stocked with shoes promoting the new environmentally concious ethos of Clarks with shoes on display comprised of up to 74% recycled materials. The fixtures and fittings have also been produced using recycled materials.

Was blown away by the kindness shown to my mother when buying shoes at Clarks, Taunton. Mum has dementia and is in a wheelchair so it can be a bit of a faff. The man who served us went out of his way to help. Mum came away with a fabulous pair of pink suede trainers, and I came away stress free. Very happy customer. Thank you Clarks (Taunton).

We were seen straight away, no waiting at all. The guy who measured my kids feet was very helpful and we managed to choose their shoes very quickly. Quite a good selection of school and non school shoes. Very pleased with our purchase.

Disappointed that there wasn't any flat /block court shoes or pretty shoes, all trainers ,enough give us something to wear at special occasions or just on coffee dates for us girls/ladies who like to dress up. So back to Hotters & Moshula we go.

The store is a little small so choices are limited . However when they have not had my size they have been very helpful and ordered what I needed to be delivered to my house.The children's shoes are down stairs which is bit annoying as they don't have a lift so usually you have to either carry a pushchair down or leave it at the top.The other day I went in alone with twins and my 4 year old. The man I spoke to measured my daughter upstairs and brought up lots of different options for her to try as we couldnt go downstairs. He was really helpful and professional.So although the store is a little small, the staff are great!

It's great to have a Clarks shop back in Taunton.It did seem a bit sparse in there (that may be a trendy thing) but there wasn't a lot of stock to pick from.They did have some reductions, which are always welcome, so hopefully the store will be a welcome asset to the area as there are hardly any shoe shops left these days.

Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. Very patient with my enthusiastic 2 year old. We've always bought our children's shoes here, and will continue to do so.Let's hope Clarks, the company, can turn itself around and survive the perilous situation it finds itself in.
