Step Up Speech and Language

We reached out to Lisa to support our 4 year old who was struggling with the production of a range of sounds. Over the last few months, he has made huge progress with his speech, is much more intelligible and has achieved his target sounds. He has had sessions with both Lisa and Esme. They have been incredibly supportive, understanding and thorough in their approach. They have both built a lovely rapport with my son and as a result have been able to adapt their strategies to best support him. He has loved his sessions and finds them highly motivating, fun and engaging. Esme provided regular feedback on progress and would prepare a range of resources/games which allowed us to support our little one at home and at school. Our son is so much more confident and proud of his achievements with his speech. I could not recommend Step Up more highly. They are fantastic!

We were worried about our son he just turned 3 and still doesn’t talk and got communication problem and we didn’t know what to do after searching on line found STEP UP SPEECH and LANGUAGE. We arranged a meeting with LISA. And on the first meeting Lisa was very professional made progress straight away we are very relieved we are looking forward to have more sessions. Very satisfied

We’ve had a brilliant experience with Step up speech and language.My 2 and a half year old was very behind with his speech and has come on leaps and bounds within his 6 weeks with Holly. Not only can he say so many more words, his behaviour has also massively improved. He’s managing to stay more focused on tasks and adult led activities. He’s also not getting frustrated trying to communicate.I’m so happy we went ahead after being a bit hesitant to start with. It’s been worth every penny!!Thankyou so much Lisa and Holly!!

Excellent professionalism - my son's speech and understanding improved significantly after Lisa's interventions. Wow - there isn’t words to express how impressed I was with the level of professionalism and knowledge from Lisa. Issues were initially flagged in my sons 2 year review from the health visitor, with delayed speech being the main concern. I was left with the daunting task of waiting up to 18 months for a referral or any help. Having reached out to google, pre-school, friends and family I felt lost in an ocean of information and big words with bigger consequences. Lisa was like a life jacket. Calm, approachable, understanding and knowledgeable. The hour she spent with my son and I was invaluable- if you have any worries about your child’s development I would not hesitate to recommend Lisa and her team. Luca found his happy place !! Lisa was able to get so much out of my boy in just an hour. Finding luca's strengths and weaknesses she has drawn up a plan of what needs focusing on and I honestly can't wait to see luca have a greater understanding and wider vocabulary. I have nothing but gratitude towards the team who are working to gift my boy with speech , communication skills , understanding and a bright future .

It has been the most wonderful experience working with Lisa. My 5 years old had speech and language difficulties and was struggling in school. With only few months of Lisa's support, he has made incredible progress and is doing so well in school now. She identified his areas of needs, set out clear targets and took it step by step to bring the all positive change we have been looking for. I would absolutely recommend her!

I contacted Lisa regarding my some concerns with my daughter's speech. She is due to start school in September and I didn't want her to be on the backfoot before she even got started. Lisa was brilliant - her skill and experience were evident within the first visit. She paid a great deal of attention to my daughter and immediately noted the areas for development. Lisa very promptly compiled her assessment and made a plan going forward with my daughter's pre-school. I am really pleased I got in touch with Lisa - there is a 12 month waiting list for NHS support and I now feel confident that my daughter will get the support she needs before she starts school.

Lisa has been great! We contacted her with concerns about our son’s speech development and Lisa has been very understanding, acted very quickly to get an initial assessment done and proactive in getting a plan and targets into place for him. We are working towards getting him ready for school in September and I feel relieved to know the aspects we have to work on and confident in the planned interventions. Lisa has been really approachable, friendly and made something which feels complicated easy to understand. I’m excited to see the progress over the next few months and just wish we’d made contact earlier!

Today we welcomed Lisa into our home to carry out a ASD Assessment for my son and we was concerned and Lisa was able to identify lots of difficulties my son has and was able to give me some options to how we can move forward and help him whiles waiting for the CDC.Lisa was very professional and very friendly.if you have any concerns around your child and your frustrated regards to the long waits to even get seen by anyone and you just want to get advice and help i highly recommend Lisa and her team.Thanks you again for all your help today.
