Chesterfield Household Waste Recycling Centre

We just moved to Derbyshire from Sheffield and it’s unbelievable how much better this household waste centre is over the ones in Sheffield. Every aspect is better from the staff, who actually work here, whereas in Sheffield they stand around doing nothing at the one I used to use in Sheffield. You can take pretty much everything here and you can go in a van or pick up truck without having to go to the inconvenience to book them in. The opening hours here are also brilliant for those of us that work full time.

I visited local waste disposable sit, with a small amount of various pieces of wood, I was advised initially by a worker, who quoted chapter and verse why I could not dispose of the small amount of wood. I requested if I could speak to the manager. The operative called the manager over and spoke to him before I could.The manager then went through the same script reading.I politely requested the company telephone number, to which I was informed to look it up online. I left the site fuming as the van in front of me was unloading wood. When I challenged this another round of scripture and verse about the type of wood was thrown at me. Never once was the amount of wood that was in my car amounted to trade waste or a major rebuild or demolition.In fact it was what was left over from my recycling of wood from my garden. I have attached photograph of amount of wood waste, then check the website which I might add informed me that the amount I had could have been deposited as waste.
