Excellent company. Rang and spoke with the business owner, Paul Ackroyd, to discuss arranging the fitting of a new tap and also some problems I'd been having with water hammer and banging pipes. Paul gave me some helpful tips which actually stopped the banging pipes immediately. He arranged for one of his team to come round and fit the tap the day after - the job was done quickly, neatly and efficiently and all at a good price. Highly recommend.

I am so impressed with the service at Ackroyd plumbing. My toilet cistern broke and within hours called to assess the problem left got parts returned and fixed. They go the extra mile and so polite and professional.

Had Ackroyds in to service our boiler which was fine however they were supposed to get back to us about a part for our toilet and boiler but never did. We contacted them by email and twice by phone and never got back to us. Feel very let down.I have contacted you each time on the number you have quoted. I would never post a review without having my facts straight. I will send you all the details of calls etc on an email to the quoted email address.

Had a boiler issue, spoke to another plumbing company who without getting many details were making noises along the lines of a new boiler being needed.Found Ackroyd via google, spoke to them and they diagnosed the problem (user error) arranged a service and the problem was fixed following this visit.Really impressed with the guys who came to fix it and the help over the phone. Good to feel like you can trust a plumbing and heating company.Would recommend to all and will retain their details for the future incase I come across any problems with my boiler or other household plumbing / heating issues.

Just had lead gas pipe replaced after moving into an old property.Ackroyd's managed to turn up next day to assess the job and had emailed me a quote within hours. They then arranged to come back 6 days later to do the work.It's taken two of them all morning and they've barely paused for a break. Really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guys; happy to answer all sorts of silly questions and not afraid to double check in the book.Theyre also honest to a fault, I didn't tidy up and left a tonne of tools and bits everywhere and they've both double checked everything when tidying up to make sure they didn't accidentally walk off with anything they shouldn't.Really nice job done and they've tidied up as well. Would happily have them back in the house and wouldn't hesitate to leave them a key and leave them unattended.Massive thanks :)Edit: Rob just got in contact a week later to thank me for the review and chdck I was still happy with the job (I am). Extra points to them for concienciousness :)

Where do I start? I cannot recommend these guys enough. Spoke to Paul who is extremely professional. The property needed a full re-plumbing along with a new boiler and new radiators. This was not the easiest of houses to work on either. Paul and his men came in force and did a fantastic job. So good in fact I got them to do a couple of bathrooms for me too! he even came with me to look at some tiles! got some very good contacts from Paul too for other works. Very pleased with the quote, the staff, and the work done by the team. My house is now a home. Thank you

Paul and his whole team are a highly professional outfit and would have no worries at all about recommending them to others (which I have done on a number of occasions!).A couple of weeks before Christmas I realised that the boiler was hanging on by a thread. I rang Paul and he came out within a day or two and spent a lot of time discussing the options. A new boiler was installed the following week and over the two day installation I think I met most of the team. They all worked incredibly hard and to a very high standard and cleaned up everything before they left.I am delighted with the new boiler which has made an unbelievable difference. The price was very competitive and Paul gives you all the links in the quote so you can read up before committing to the work.Paul is happy to be contacted post installation with any concerns or queries.I would highly recommend this company and will use them again when needed.

I've been a customer for several years. I get them to do an annual inspection and service on my heating and hot water systems, as well as any other plumbing jobs which come up around the house.
