Rollesby: St George - A Church Near You | St George's is a 12th Century, round tower church set in the rural village of Rollesby. The village has around 460 households and few amenities, so although remote, St George is a hub of the community. The church is not on the main road (A149), but is found a short distance along Fleggburgh Road, which is the left turning at the crossroads before leaving the village. Free parking is available. I visited Rollesby late one sunny afternoon with the sunlight low in the sky. St George's is a well looked after RTC with some interesting features. The chancel is guarded by four dog statues on the roof. Inside there are family tombs and a lovely stained glass window of St Michael.

A very fine church with a tall tower - round at the bottom then two octagonal stages. This seems to be a very well used church with lots going on. Good size car park - three gentlemen were clearing leaves in the car park when we were there. Excellent church leaflet giving useful information on various church features. Some good stained glass, although some a little dark.
