Never liked coming here, equipment always broken, girls toilets are constantly out of order, an there’s never anyone to go to if there is an issue. The studio down the road is 100 times better

Excellent facility, and it's really not much money. BUT the 'studio' we were given was an absolute disgrace. Sticky floor, baggies on the decks, weed bits on the mixer, nos cans everywhere outside... We still had fun like, but not the point.

Never even managed to get anything recorded.This is my second time doing session vocals for a client in pirate studios, and it’s the second time that we’ve received broken equipment and not been able to record any vocals as the headphones and focusrite interface never work. Please keep on top of your equipment, most of it isn’t working! The speakers also keep cutting in and out. They’re either crackly, or don’t play anything at all.The first time we brought up these issues, we were given “credit”, however when booking this second session, there was no credit available to use. We have tried the watsapp chat, we’ve tried calling, and received no help whatsoever.

Went here to do a photo-shoot for a band, place looks really useful and neat, not falling apart like many other improvised spaces. It's nice that bands can just rent out a space here online without fuss with so much gear already in place, and the couch detail really helps as we could chill and talk for a bit.Space was a bit on the small side (4mx6m'ish) but I guess it's enough for a rehersal. I'd probably also add a receptionist as the service being completely online seems a bit impersonal and distant from their own customers. I realise this keeps costs down, but it's those little small touches and details that make companies stand out. There is no face to relate with, it's a faceless service, and no company should do that these days.But otherwise it's a great idea and a real public service giving musical talent a place to play and practice without upsetting the neighboors.

A well designed set up and sound proof. Rooms are clean, however the sound systems are very poor, you cannot hear the vocals at all. The band have played in every room so can give a good opinion on each of the rooms. Toilets are not the best.

Good sized room with good PA, reasonable bass rig and average guitar rigs - I just used the Marshall cab with my own amp. None of the mics or mic leads worked, but luckily we had brought our own. Poor lighting over the PA mixer, so always need to use phone torch.

A lot has changed since my last visit to Pirate Studios, Liverpool!I was greeted with a team of cleaners as I came into the building, one of whom went into my room just before me, to clean the decks/mixer, change the bin, the lady even asked if I wanted the floor mopping before I commenced! To be fair, the room was immaculate, but I did ask how to work that heater over the door.No longer do I need to plug in all the cables, it's all done for me, I just had to switch everything on! Brand new lighting on the ceiling, which the colour can be changed to suit, a very nice addition! The booth has been turned around to face the door, with the speakers behind me. Last time, the booth faced the back wall, with the speakers facing back at me. I prefer this new design layout, it sounds and feels better. There was even a detailed, colour manual showing me how to setup everything, including that heater/aircon, lol!What caught my eye though, was a tablet saying, We're undergoing some scheduled maintenance." This is a new addition to my last visit

A great place at a great price. Kit provided is top as well. Only downside was loads of rubbish left in the room from previous occupants
