I walked in and ordered in person. I was told it would be quicker to ring and that it would be 15 to 20 minutes. In actual fact, I sat there for 30 or near as damn it.Their staff were pleasant but the furniture is basic including uncomfortable chairs if you have back problems. It's something of an echo chamber. Sat there as I was, it was embarrassing almost just how much of nearby conversations at tables were overheard; like it or not.

Food/buffet was really tasty. Portions were good. It is quite expensive, though £23.90 pp. Minimum 2 people and you can't take food home obviously. There is also 10% surcharge. The spring rolls were crispy. It is all you can eat so you can ordr starters, mains in any order and all fresh.The toilet had no warm water and the pressure of warm water in female toilet was tickling only.We went on Tuesday 8pm and it wasn't busy. Spent around £52 for two with no drinks.Overall I recommend the place.

Lovely buffet, freshly cooked and really tasty. The staff are really friendly and attentive and saw to our every need. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately we will not be ordering from Gourmet Oriental again. The food delivery on a Monday night took 2 hours to arrive and when it arrived the food was so terrible, yes it was cold but the quality was also shocking, they must have changed chefs or be short staffed because we have previously had some good takeaways from there. We wasted so much food after having spent £60, we did not finish a single dish. Seriously disappointed and it is such a shame it's gone so downhill.

Gourmet Oriental Bishop’s Stortford
This is a great little buffet restaurant, I have been here several times and the food and service are always consistently good.The buffet is ordered from the menu, it is prepped and cooked to order so all the food arrives fresh and hot, not like other buffets were the food is left under heating lamps for hours.Would really recommend this place.

This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in the UK! You may see the photo attached.The first one with a lot of fat duck skin is from the dish called Red Thai curry duck. You will be lucky if you can see any duck meat in the dish, it feels like you've been delivered somebody's left over, extremely disgusting!!!The second photo is a from a dish untouched, which is called, Kung Pao Chicken! I mean, really? You are messing up with this traditional Chinese dish. We all know what it should look like. This is obviously made by someone who doesn't know how to cook at all. Please, don't insult your customer you guys!I have also ordered Thai soup called Seafood Tom Yum Soup, it's again insultingly bad, I don't know how to describe it to be honest. Maybe you should call it, super hot salty water boiling everything you have in the kitchen all together" It's a huge joke.People are not stupid

Order from here all the time. Paid £40 tonight as a treat. Awful! The portions were a joke £7.80 dish in a half filled box. Dry chicken and no flavour in the Singapore noodles. Really disappointed won't order again sadly.
