I recently completed the RYA Day Skipper Theory Course with Hugh from Wave Rides, and I can say it exceeded my expectations on multiple fronts. Just finished Day skipper theory course with ''WaveRides''. Course was detailed and well designed according with RYA syllabus. It gave the participants all theoretical knowledge, they will need when are on the water.Hugh was always approachable and ready to answer any question. He never hesitate to give an extra time and attention to someone who needed it. Subjects were explained very well. He made all complicated mater easy to understand.Thank you!

Competent Crew course - went on board a novice, came off feeling like a member of the crew. Excellent 'hands on' experience with just enough basic theory tuition so you know why you're doing what you're doing! Hugh is a great instructor (obligatory), and also a nice guy (bonus)! Definitely recommended.

I found the WaveRides Day Skipper theory course excellent. It was my first time using Zoom (I'm retired), the slides and presentations were delivered by the course provider, Hugh, in a way that made the topics interesting and understandable. The course is very comprehensive, covering a lot of topics, some of which require a degree of time and concentration (e.g. tidal calculations and chartwork). Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Waverides having completed the competent crew course this year, 5 days jam packed with essential skills, and I went from being a total novice to a skilled crew member, during this short time. I totally recommend them to anyone seeking RYA accredited courses, and amazing sailing experiences.

Have done my RYA Competent Crew and Day Skipper theory with WaveRides so far, and enjoyed every moment. It is so helpful to have someone with Hugh's skill, knowledge, and passion for education. Looking forward to my Day Skipper practical this year.
