Offer accepted on a house however the previous buyer pulled out due to survey. The estate agent didn’t bother to find out why and couldn’t explain the issues the previous buyer had when we asked. When we carried out our own survey on the property it came back with major structural issues and it should be cash buyers only (confirmed by surveyor ). How did the estate agent not realise this when originally putting it on for sale? A total waste of our time.The lady on the phone even said we noticed a few cracks but didn’t think it would be cash buyers only. This is why estate agents should get surveyors to look at properties.estate agents don’t have the knowledge clearly

Phoned up wanting to rent my property with them all I got was constant questioning rather than passing on a message for the manger to call me back. If this was the pain for a simple enquiry not for me. Avoid try someone else that values your business

As soon as I walked into the office I knew that this was the agents I wanted to sell my home. After having an awful past experience of a large chain of estate agents I wanted to have an agent I could trust. An agent that would look for buyers rather a buyer to sell the mortgages to. I explained that I needed a buyer who could complete quickly as I we needed to move in the school holidays as we were relocating to the North EastFrom the moment my house was placed on the market in late April to it being sold in July. I was kept up dated by Ann-Marie and Sam .The after sales /completion service with Jo was brilliant as you had someone to call who called you back rather than having to ring a call centre.I would thoroughly recommend.

Totally incompetent and disappointing. Had a viewing booked in- originally when I made the booking the woman I spoke to was rude and unhelpful, I remarked that I had seen the property was no longer in the market according to rightmove, she assure me it was and booked me in for the following day. I get to the property and no one is there. When I called Danes I got through to the same woman. Same attitude- rude, didn’t sound like she was bothered in the slightest and didn’t sound sorry at all, she was so rude. When I told her no one had answered the door she said the house has been taken off the market, to which I said that no one had informed me. She said everyone was called and I said again that I hadn’t, so she asked me my name and I told her that it was her I’d spoken to yesterday. She then said very dozily, oh yes I remember, clearly hadn’t written it down or made a note of my details. She then rambled on about being confused but honestly didn’t care like she gave a single….. then she finally said oh I apologise but only cause she had to and it was her mistake. Really disappointed as I’d left work early to make this viewing, as well as had my family come from across town and meet me. Learn to do your job properly and whilst you’re at it, get some people skills. Rude and dozy 2 out of 2 times, really not on.

Great team in the Sheldon Office, sold my property through them, very helpful when I was having issues with my buyers solicitors. Buying my new property through them also, definitely recommend.

Recently bought a property through them. Excellent service from start to finish. Thank you to Jo and the women who hosted the viewing. My mum really thought you were nice and we were going to drop a bottle to say thanks but we ran out of time from cleaning the house.

Buying our home was not the easiest process to say the least, it was no some sailing at all but Melvyn Danes made the whole process such much better and in particular Jo Green is an absolute legend. Always responds to emails, answers or returns calls and even chased things up where this was not part of her job. She made things some much easier. I would highly recommend this estate agents.
