Aylesbury Vale Crematorium

Lovely location and the staff were very kind and helpful. Everything was carried out exactly as I wanted it and nothing was too much trouble.

I arrived unannounced, and with prejudices; however, they were blown away by the warmth, empathy and professionalism of the three members of staff who seemed to be always there when I wanted their help and guidance. Death follows life: they are inseparable. The grounds and facilities are fully in keeping with modern life, and how I wanted to say goodbye to my lovely wife of thirty-eight years. Others will, like me, wake-up to the exceptional service that is provided by the team at Aylesbury Vale Crematorium.

Doesn't seem right giving a Crematorium 5*s with a 'I love it' title but the place was really well presented. The place felt very peaceful.

Beautiful location and lovely building but very disappointed to see the loved one's coffin put in the very corner. Also the second curtain was closed before the attendees left the room

The place has amazing views and professional staff that r friendly my mother in law had a beautiful send off there and if she was here she would of said its a beautiful place and very peaceful

Very poor, sparce and bare looking. Unwelcoming staff, the female celebrant was dressed unprofessionally and sounded insincere. A poor send off for my mum

The only crem I know in full view of neighboring houses, a gym, a field where circuses are held and opposite a day nursery. I couldn't think of a more inappropriate location. Crems should be in quite, peaceful and secluded locations, not in plain site.

This is a new facility on the outskirts of Aylesbury and I have just been there for the first time. It is situated in a peacful location overlooking an attractive stretch of water at Watermead.The chapel is strictly functional with plain wooden benches, undecorated stone brick walls and plain grey curtains which are drawn as the coffin disappears from sight. There are floor to ceiling windows down one side of the chapel which are protected by blinds but they admit a considerable amount of light. The ceiling appears to consist of slatted wood up to a point where a large ventilation duct runs from one end of the chapel to the other; beyond this there is a plain white plastered wall.There is a video screen and a plain wooden cross on the front wall, but apart from this there is very little decoration.The area outside has been landscaped recently, but it is too soon to predict how it will look when the new planting becomes established.It is one of the least atrractive crematoria I have visited and I would not like to have it chosen as the destination of my last journey.

Aylesbury Vale Crematorium is a new facility in Watermead, Aylesbury. We held my Father’s cremation there on 1st May.We were incredibly impressed by the landscape surrounding the building and also the building itself. The lake gives a feeling of peace, so important at a difficult time. The interior of the crematorium is lovely, there are even tissues provided on the seats – what a super touch so you don’t have to scrabble around in your pocket or bag. The area where the coffin is placed is to the front left of the seats – a good idea as no-one is separated by an aisle.We were treated with respect and professionalism from the moment we all arrived to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble. There was no feeling of being hurried or hassled to get a move on and make room for the next group.We have no hesitation in recommending Aylesbury Vale Crematorium at one of the most difficult times for any family.

Beautiful building, lovely aspect.Lots of space. Good helpful staff.
