3 months into my training and its going great! The instructors and admin are very dedicated, friendly and supportive, you feel the sense of community. Training is structured and well thought out. I'm looking forward to continuing.

It's an amazing place to develop your skills in self defence and awareness even if you start basically from scratch. The class is well led by professional instructors in a friendly environment and I'm proud to say that I'm part of this class.

After reading the reviews of a variety of self defence classes, Spartans Academy of Krav Maga, Self Defence Harrogate was by far the most highly rated and, after attending a free taster class, I could see why and I was hooked! As a girl with very little self defence skills or knowledge I was nervous about the training, how it would suit me, how it would fit in with my current fitness regime but most of all, how it would benefit in real life self defence situations, my main purpose for joining.At the initial session I was highly impressed by the skills and knowledge of all the instructors, who teach not only techniques and strategies for getting out of particularly difficult situations, but also the legal aspects of defending yourself.The techniques are broken down and always fully explained in a way which helps you develop critical thinking skills, which really helps in difficult situations.Highly recommended for all ages and abilities!

Spartans academy is a fantastic place to learn valuable self defence skills and build self-confidence with a great group of people. The instructors really care about teaching and helping everyone improve regardless of their starting ability or fitness level. Lots of fun and highly recommend!
