We'd borrowed some bodyboards and found this place was really great for wetsuit hire, because we could do 24 hr. Other places wanted everything back by 5, which would have only given a couple of hours, but this way we were in the sea til 7pm and back the next day for a couple more hours. And all for a tenner!! Brilliant.

Friendly staff, very helpful & knowledgeable. The man picked the correct wetsuit & boards for us. Reasonably priced. Surfing is exhausting so 3 hours is a little ambitious. Warning: This is a walk to the beach. You have to carry them to & from the shop. You also have to take your wetsuit back if hired, after you get back from surfing in the salty sea on the sandy beach.

Ben and his Dad (and their cute dog!) were super helpful in helping me find the right board. They went above and beyond and in the end I bought an ex-rental board from them for a great price after hiring it to try it out. No question I asked was too stupid and they were super knowledgeable about the area and what I needed. Top stuff!

Great communication, gear and service. Second time we’ve rented surf equipment from The Bay Surf Shop and will happily do so again. The crew are very friendly and offered to swap boards should we have improved over the week rental. Cheapest prices in Woolacombe is the cherry on top.

The guys in the shop are super approachable and friendly, and went out of their way to help with our search for my partner's new wetsuit. Luckily we managed to get one that fitted after a while of trying other stores. I would recommend The Bay Surf Shop over any other surf shops locally

The Bay Surf Shop is the bee's knees folks! Get on down there for top quality equipment rental and avoid the beach tax and smelly worn out wetsuits offered by other, lesser places.Shop is stocked full of surfing and skating goodies as well as some trendy clothing and accessories.Big up the team always full of tips and tricks!
