Walking along the harbour i came across this nice pub, decided to go in and try it out, so glad i did, very friendly atmosphere, staff really are the best, very chatty and friendly, had a chat with the landlord, really nice guy, if your in the area and fancy a nice meal with a friendly relaxed atmosphere then this is the place, will be my regular while im up here in Scotland, thank you for making me feel at home.

Ordered a balmoral chicken and the chicken had bbq sauce, obviously been a hunters chicken but majority of the sauce had been removed. The chicken was also burnt and extremely chewy. Previously had the same meal from here and it was nothing like what I had today. Very disappointed but did receive a refund.

We had an excellent meal tonight in Custom House served by Aaron and Ross who were very friendly and helpful and served us well. The atmosphere had a lovely Christmas feel about it. We sat at table 28 which was a nice quiet table and the TV with football on wasn’t too loud as we were sitting beside it, at a sensible volume we could talk. It was lovely and warm and very clean and tidy. Looking forward to the next night.

Last time we were in Stranraer we had an amazing meal here, so we thought why not visit again.Sadly the food was not really up to much. From point of order to it being on our table must have been no more than 5 minutes. The stake and ail pie was burnt on the pastry and just really lacking taste. The southern fried chicken burger was ok but wasn’t really what you would expect from a pub. Shame really as like I say last time we were here it was amazing.Now if I was going to rate on service alone I’d happily give 5 start as the service was perfect.

Lovely staff and good pub grub. A good Greene king pub. I will definitely call back in again.It's a great pub to stop in at before the ferry.It is also dog friendly.

Great food, nice selection of ales and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We arrived in Stranraer later than expected and the manager said we could still order food. What a life saver as we really didn't want takeaway food. We highly recommend this place. Well done, we will definitely be back again.

There aren't too many places to eat in Stranraer in the evening but this place is just fine. We had low expectations when we got there it has the vibe of a flat roofed sports pub but the staff were really friendly and helpful. It has a vegan and gluten-free menu. My son had a vegan burger; we had a fresh salad and chips - all good. We had booked a table but there was no need to

I was here for the bank holiday weekend. There was only two young members of staff in the front of the pub which were doing all the food orders, the drinks, serving food and condiments and clearing tables. At times the queue for a drink was almost a 10 min wait but through no fault of the staff. The management need to support these two workers they never stopped all night.I ordered a steak and when it came it was cold, I didn't complain due to not wanting to add to the workload of the two working so ate it.The management need to give the staff the support they need and not sure how they expected two young workers to be on shift in their own for a bank holiday.

Very good food, staff every friendly and the covid app is amazing and easy to use. drinks are 2.80 nice n cheap and the fish n chips are yummy. enjoy if you visit.Dropped down to a 1 star 2023 this place has gone downhill sadly. Always without the meals you want, food is not fresh and the meals are disappointing or disgusting.
