Streatham Soul Club - White Lion SW16
The bar has a mature crowd on Saturdays. There are two rooms of music, ranging from jungle to soul, with many other genres in between. The bar is fairly empty around 8pm so this is a good time to grab something from the menu before the crowds arrive. The food prices are reasonable and the portions are plentiful. There is also a vegan option that looks very tasty. The mix of men to woman ratio is about 70/30. The average age was mid to late forties. There is a centre outdoor area that separates the two rooms of music, this has a bar and allows smoking. This would save you leaving the venue and standing on the street. Parking is limited, but this is typical for a bar on a main road in London. Overall I enjoyed my evening, the staff were very polite and professional. Thank you so much for making last Sunday such a memorable event. The music was so good, the food was fabulous and the staff and professionalism was tip top. I highly recommend the White Lion. Everyone in our party commented on the food.

Attended for a birthday party. DJ'S on the night were great and kept everyone entertained. Alcoholic drinks were varied and reasonably priced.

I went to a private party. It was very good. The dejays were excellent. We had one of the rooms from 5 pm till 10 pm. After this time, it was open to the public till 1 am. Everyone had a great night.

First timer and was pleasantly surprised. Basic but nice pub which offers good tasting Caribbean cuisine, reasonably priced. Service was a little slow. Good soul music on the night, great atmosphere, everyone was friendly and attentive. Cocktails were good also. Would recommend for a good night out. Night I went was not too over crowded.

It was nice music and a nice vibe in the evening. The Rum Punch was good and tasted as it should. Food was managed by an inedependent cook, who came and took the orders and then prepared the food. So there was a bit of a wait as he was working solo. That said, the food was quite nice. An enjoyable evening was had by all in our group. I would recommend a visit.

Went here last night with my brothers. You could see this place is attended by people in the community. It seemed everyone knew each other. Lovely relaxed feel.The music was brilliant and I did do some dancing. I will be going back. I didn't try the food. Maybe next time.
