I was recommended to Convey Law via the mortgage broker London & Country. I'd assumed that this would mean better communication between the mortgage provider and solicitor, but this wasn't apparent.Overall, the service was opaque and drawn out. The telephone number was literally never answered, and frequently went straight to voicemail. Email responses were swift but the contents were vague, and we were left for weeks at a time with no response to either direct emails or messages on the online platform. What should have been straightforward queries from the seller's solicitor were left on hold for weeks at a time, and by the end of the six months they took from offer to completion I was forced to liaise with the estate agent and seller's solicitor directly to arrange confirmation of details myself.Don't think you're getting a deal or more seamless service by using this as a recommended company. You may be paying them, but they don't have to rely on their reputation, and really, really shows.

If you're considering Convey Law it's probably because they offer low prices?Be warned: you get what you pay for.Here is an actual email I just sent to them today:----Your firm is representing the buyer of our property.We are supposed to complete on Monday November 27, and all the paperwork is done, but we cannot seem to get your firm to exchange contracts, and we don't know why.Your people have told our estate agent we've dropped the ball on this". They've told my solicitor "we just haven't got around to it." We have committed to emptying the house into storage

We used Convey Law for the purchase of our house and we had THE worst experience ever.Firstly, communication was very poor. It mainly happened over emails as it was impossible to get through our lawyer’s phone number. Many of our questions were left unanswered. The only way to receive a call back was by leaving a voice message. Hours later a member of the team (not our lawyer) would then call us back knowing very little about the case.They did not have our best interest at heart. We made 2 very clear requests to the vendor through Convey Law and made it clear that those were a deal breaker. It was only after the purchase that we found out those requests had not been honoured by the vendors. When we addressed this to our lawyer, their answer was that our requests were “informal” and nothing could be done.Would Not recommend!

A significant part of our experience was our contact with Helen Brown our solicitor who was unfailingly pleasant and professional despite challenges from the other side solicitors. It was good to have continuous updates on where we were at through Helen and what is expected at each stage of the ongoing process on our purchase. We were also assured by the thorough searches that Helen completed and felt that all possibilities and risks were highlighted. Thank you Helen and Convey Law.

We had a good experience with Convey Law. We were always treated with great respect. All information required was provided. We were kept updated on a weekly basis on the status of things. And Ebony was always happy to talk me through the details in a very pleasant manner. She was very instrumental to our completion timing which could have taken much longer.

Our initial introduction to Convey Law was not the most positive, with our introductory conversation being lacklustre and the breakdown of fees being unclear. However once we were handed over to our solicitor our experience completely changed. Abbie was nothing short of wonderful throughout the entire process - answering our questions along the way (of which there were many as first time buyers), always responding quickly and we really felt she was on our side.
