Jennyfields Steel Window & Doors replacements
I have had 3 windows fitted by Jenny Fields - 2 curved glass, sunshine bay and one bathroom. I want to write this review in 2 halves.Product 5* - I love the windows, and John was highly competent, took pride in his work and has done a great job. The curved windows in particular are complex and I felt he and the team took great care in ensuring they were just right.Customer Service/Project management 1* - This review won’t come as a surprise to the team as I repeatedly flagged my frustration and although I saw a recognition of the need to improve unfortunately, the list of errors/delays/lack of transparency just mounted. The main problem was a lack of communication. In addition the windows were very late and whilst I am understanding of the complexity of supply chains, it was the additional lack of updates and consistent information that was frustrating. When we finally had a fitting day - after lots chasing - for the one urgent window I had needed to prioritise (after leaving weeks of buffer time)I was rung the morning of the fitting to be told that the window hadn’t even been made. When it was finally fitted it wasn’t correct and so it had to the replaced. No one contacted us to apologise for the error or to arrange a plan to sort it.The biggest frustration is one it is hard to explain, but in short a change was made to our design without our agreement. The intent behind this was to achieve the best aesthetic which I am not complaining about, however there were other implications of this change, that the team did not have an immediate solution for. So the windows are not actually what we ordered and although a work around was devised for the other implications and we agree the output has been better than the original plan, this should have been discussed with us before putting the order through. We should have been provided information and options, and the team’s recommendation so we could make an informed decision rather than having a surprise on the day of fitting with no tried and tested solution in place to resolve the other implications.Even the small things were not right. I don’t believe the handles were ordered for the job… and so some other ones that they had in the office were fitted. I had to chase again for a date to get them sorted as nearly 3 weeks passed since I let them know the handles were wrong.I have no idea if our project fell through the cracks for some reason but the communication and project management needs to reflect quality of the product they are offering. In the end I paid the deposit on 30th Jan and the job was finally complete on 13th June which is far off the 10-12 weeks that is provided as a guide. I love the outcome but the process was pretty painful.

Jennyfields Steel Window & Doors replacements
Jennyfields have been beyond terrible from start to finish. The initial product seemed very good; sold as the best parts sourced and then manufactured in the Jennyfields bespoke way so that it was perfect. This was not the case, the doors we have purchased are of poor quality and nearly 2 years later, Jennyfields are still replacing parts such as popped units, scratched astragal bars etc.The first issue we encountered with Jennyfields was when the first set of doors were delayed. These things happen so we understood and waited a few more weeks (baring in mind the back of our house was open in 2 separate places). When the first set eventually arrived, the glazing was wrong, the astragal bars were manufactured in the wrong place on one of the panes of glass so they did not align with the others. We waited and weeks and weeks for the replacement and when it turned up, the astragal bars did not align again! A third glazing unit was ordered, this apparently then arrived in to their workshop smashed….We are now over 18 months on and we are still having items replaced on our defective doors (as recently as yesterday). Jennyfields dropped off the radar for around 9 months until they realised that we still owed a payment and then continually chased despite there still being major snagging items outstanding.I requested a site visit from Tony the MD back in September 2022 after promises that he was personally taking on my project until completion. His first visit was not until July 2023…. I think that in itself proves that Jennyfields had no interest in completing my project until they realised a payment as outstanding. I was extremely flexible during the build stage, I moved screeding dates etc due to their delays but the same was not reciprocated. The customer service has been terrible, as soon as I started reporting issues, Katie who I dealt with at sales stage stopped replying and another lady took over in her absence. I’ve been accused of lying about how the cill to my doors arrived. I reported that it was scratched as soon as they were installed and highlighted it again more recently, I’ve been informed that they do not cover their cills with tape so it must have been my husband. Jennyfields; please refer to Katie’s email of 4th October 2022 where she says, and I quote,“I am concerned about the scratches on the cill of the doors, as when the cill comes out of the factory it has a white tape protecting it”.The only positive to this experience is Wojtek the fitter, he has been fantastic. He is definitely under valued by Jennyfields.I would not recommend Jennyfields. Their products are positioned at an extremely high price point given their bespoke nature but this is not the case at all. Their customer service is lacking and their eagerness to resolve issues is appalling.

Living in a 100 year old Cottage I still had the original 1920's single glazed Crittall metal frames to the front of the property.I looked long and hard at who had the ability to design an 'almost replica' in modern double glazed white Aluminium.I eventually came across Jennyfields near Farnham here in Surrey. I visited their premises to check for myself...they were very open and showed me their designs..including the 'putty line'additions to mimic the original.I was pleased to trust in their ability enough to place my order...and the end result was extremely satisfactory!Cannot speak too highly about their installation team....this was not an 'easy fit' but they were brilliant! Before retiring some 18 years ago I ran my own window company and therefore feel able to comment from my own experiences.....I would recommend Jennyfields upon my personal experience.

Jennyfields have just done another bespoke deco French door project for one of our clients. I can't praise their aluminium Crittall style doors enough. These doors were customised as standard to look like real steel down to the finest details. Katie is extremely knowledgeable and my go to person for heritage aluminium options and advice.

Possibly my favourite company ever! Having refurbished houses for many years and dealt with many window companies, I can honestly say that Jenny Fields and the team there are in a class of their own. Their windows and doors are both superb in design and quality, literally the best on the market, and they are absolutely committed to doing the very best for their customers. And their incredibly experienced fitting team made the whole thing painless, going above and beyond to make good the area surrounding the new windows. My windows and gorgeous doors are the talk of the village for all the right reasons! And I couldn't be happier with the end result. They have literally transformed our home.

Jennyfields Steel Window & Doors replacements
I had art deco style windows installed in my property on the south coast. I cant say enough of how great the customer service was. Quick response to all enquiries. As these were custom windows I was aware of the time for manufacturing but I was kept up to date and installation was done around my holiday. Highly recommended
