From our 1st visit to Heritage Stone Works we knew we had found the right place to provide us with our dream stone fire surround and wood burning stove. Jo in the showroom was really friendly and helpful, guiding us to the right combination of fire and surround style. Simon came to our home and measured up and gave us some extra ideas to mull over. the quote was prompt and, happy with it, we asked them to go ahead. After a short delay, due to other projects running over, Simon came to start our project and as of today has completed to a very high standard. We are really pleased we found this company and would strongly recommend them.

Simon made and installed a beautiful new fireplace, coming up with a perfect solution that we hadn't even thought of.He is a real craftsman with proper attention to detail and a quality of work that is hard to find. We are delighted with the new fireplace which has transformed our lounge!

We’re delighted with our new fireplace. It’s exactly what we hoped for and really suits the room. From the initial contact with Jo, to Simon visiting and assessing the ‘interesting’ stonework that was revealed when we had to have a wooden surround removed, all communication was prompt and clear. We felt that any concerns, had they arisen, would have been addressed without any fuss. Simon and Trevor did an excellent job. We’d also like to thank Simon for his flexibility in changing his plans on the final day when our heating had broken down, so that we could light the fire and have a warm living room for the next few days until the heating engineer can come.

The design, installation and craftsmanship of our two fire surrounds and wood burning stoves has been of the highest quality. The work carried out by Simon and his team was clean and efficient with the minimum of disruption. The sandstone surrounds were beautifully hand crafted at the Heritage workshop and the limestone to the sides and rear of the opening is stunning. Any pre-existing faults in the chimneys were quickly rectified.Simon and Jo's advice was invaluable in deciding on the design and finish of the surrounds and the most efficient and eco-friendly wood burners. We were completely confident in the high standard in which all the work was delivered. WOW! We are absolutley thrilled with our beautiful fire surround and mantlepiece from Heritage Stoneworks of Tideswell.Jo has been so incredibly helpful right from the start, to get dimensions right when building the chimney breast, slab and flue.They helped us select a beautiful piece of Stanton Moor Sandstone which, together with some reclaimed flagstones make the whole hearth and fire look stunning. In the evening sun it sparkles beautifully!Simon and colleague came down t Norfolk for the installation and he is a real craftsman. They have transformed the spaces by creating two beautiful heritage features the 'Old Hall' deserved, what a legacy! From the beginning and visiting the showroom and chatting to Jo - to then proceeding with having our new stone fireplace installed by Simon and Trev the whole process was excellent .
