Rude staff with no customer service skills, over charged for items I haven't received, complained about their unprofessional approach and nothing was done, now they keep harrassing me for treatment not received. I went in March and the vet was rude shouting at the receptionists when they should be looking at the notes. I initially went in as my dog suffers from itchy skin and the vet didn't even exam the dog, I was charged £126 for steroids that you can get from the doctors for £7. I paid this and joined the per health club which said I was able to get certain medicines for free or half the fraction of the normal price, I had 2xflee treatment for my cat and dog and worming tablets just for the dog.i pickedthe last one up 2 months late as they didn'tneed it and havenot received any more treatments...at the same time I was told that I was pretty much stupid for not sterilisation of my male cat( that is home bound and never goes out as we live on a busy road and i may decideto have kittens with a female cat that I may own later on, this is my decision to make, not hers)Then the lady I can only describe her the oldest one who is slightly overweight gave me the 3rd degree on how many stray cats there are and details about Hector's house, and how I should not do this ( you don't tell someone not to have babies and demand sterilisation even though we have many children adopted and fostered). This left me in tears and started to have a panic attack. The young girl at reception apologised, consoled me and said her colleague shouldn't have spoken to me like that..she was completely unprofessional. The girls said don't worry you can just pick up the next prescription and won't have to see her again, this didn't make me feel welcome at the practice and since then I have received many letters saying I owe firstly £161, the £166 now its £155, I think they over charge which is against the law, last month I complained about this and again nothing was done about it as I was told that it would be resolved, again today I have received a letter saying I still owe money that I wont pay due to them overcharging, their rude unprofessional approach and not addressing my complaint of misconduct. Now this is effecting my mental health and put me in the position where I now have to waste more of my time by complaining to the veterinary client mediation services and the royal college of veterinary surgeons for this misconduct.

Very professional and helpful service. Sadly my little girl was diagnosed with Diabetes on Monday but passed away on Wednesday, we received a lot of help from the staff at Powderham Vets right up to the final moments and after life arrangements.

Great vets, and have been very supportive with one of our pets who has used most of his lives!

My family recently lost our beloved cat after 16 years. I cannot express how grateful we are to Powderham Vets for the sincerity, kind-heartedness and support they showed us at this devastating time. Our cat meant the world to us and her loss has left a huge hole in our hearts; Powderham empathised with this entirely, they sent a card to our family with seeds to grow in our garden in remembrance and they were patient and sympathetic at all times. Powderham Vets have always provided an exceptional service with an attentive touch. The staff are friendly, accommodating and their love for animals always shone through. Been with them for 15yrs and they,ve gone right down hill always short staff and everytime I try to make an apointment they always try sending me to newton abbot I dont live in newton abbot thats why I signed up with one in torquay i have a 15yr old english springer they dont care about ur animals health or well being if I try to make a doctors apointment they dont send me to a doctor in another town. If ur thing of joining them dont they cant handle the ones they have after 15yrs they told to try another vet wow so I am I now have to find a more reliable vets.

Powderham vets at the Willows offers a first class service. All the staff are helpful and caring. The vets are compassionate, and listen to my concerns while examining the pet with care. I would not go anywhere else.
