Crowden Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Lovely camping/caravan site in the most beautiful countryside, but devoid of important facilities like a nearby shop or pub. All those are miles away. Great for hillwalking but would not suit anyone who has to have TV, Phone signal or Internet. Personally I was happy without but can imagine many would not be. Have informed the club managing the site that they really must have a small shop as a minimum. Noone wants to drive miles to get a pint of milk on this day and age.

Crowden Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Booked for three nights last weekend. Left after one. It was party time. A huge crowd of people with food and drink arrived at Safari Trent next to our caravan pitch. Very loud. Warden unable/unwilling to sort the situation. We felt we had no choice but to leave at 6pm. Have sent a letter to C&C club.... No response. Very disappointed.Update.... Have eventually received a response from C&C Club, an apology plus 'goodwill voucher'. Here's hoping they sort out their policy and management of Safari Tent bookings.

Just been for the weekend first time coming here. What a beautiful little site. Very well looked after and very clean facilities. the staff very helpful. Will definitely be back next year

Very quiet and friendly campsite, kept immaculate. With showers toilets, boot wash, and dog wash areas. Great walks about.

Just had one night here as a stop over en-route to our holiday site. Near the main road but very peaceful. Warden was very friendly & helpful. Facilities were spotless. Lovely site within a wooded area. It looked to be popular with walkers.

I camped here recently while walking the Pennine Way. I paid for it online and the manager part-refunded me as I had paid too much online. He said you can book by phone to get the lower 'hiker' price.Drying room was very good, toilet block was very good. They also have camping pods which would be very useful for a hiker in poor or windy weather.Unfortunately the shop on site no longer exists.I'll certainly stay again.

Crowden Camping and Caravanning Club Site
We arrived on our bicycles in the pouring rain and were offered one of the glamping pods for a discounted fee. We were so grateful! Pod was empty, except for lights and heating, so we had to unroll our mats and use our sleeping bags (have seen fully kitted-out pods elsewhere, just so you know;). For us it was divine! The campsite is quiet and lovely, the facilities are clean. It (currently) has no shop on-site so make sure you bring all your food and drinks. The host is a really friendly chap. There are great hiking and cycling trails nearby. Loved the engineering of the reservoirs and the stunning views.
