Four Paws Kennels and Cattery

Wow can’t praise 4 paws enough. I was so worried about leaving my little JRT Ellie in kennels , as we’ve had a bad experience with kennels before , but as soon as we came to pick her up I could see how happy and healthy she looked, she made a fuss of us and then turned back to be fussed my Chris and his lovely wife, I would not hesitate to leave her here again knowing how well she would be cared for. Thankyou so much for caring for Ellie and making her holiday enjoyable .

Brilliant kennels, my dog Max has been a good few times now always comes back very happy! Would recommend to anyone looking for a kennels!

Gruff has returned several times. Always happy and active while there. Great facility with plenty of space for the dogs to run and play.

I can't thank Chris enough, a superbly knowledgeable gentleman, when we got there first time, Buster just trotted off really happy. When we picked him up, Buster was really happy too. Thanks Chris, looking forward to the next time.

Booked our 15 yr old jack Russell in for week in May . Sadly didn’t ask for pre visit . Wasn’t offered one on arrival . Brought own bedding and food with him .Returned a week later to find bedding heavily soiled and Ruben seriously underweight and withdrawn . On remarking how thin he was the proprietor confirmed he had been eating well . Handed us soiled bedding and remaining food pouches ( more left than we expected left over)Took Ruben to vets straight away as he had severe diarrhoea . Vet expressed concern for his weight given his age , gave us antibiotics and advised us to return daily for weight check . He advised us to contact kennels to report GiardiaI emailed proprietor as advised . He replied thanking us for update and no other dogs showed signs for concernRubens recovery was slow but eventually weight improved .In our encounter the Proprietor didn’t come across as caring, in person or empathetic via email .We wouldn’t use these kennels again .Ian and Lynne

Arrive to checkout the kennels , not impressed, have never been to a kennels where the dogs don't react to visits, it was like a monastery, smelly .would not recommend this place

Taking Miss Milly to the kennels was an anxious time for us as we had never put her in kennels before.We took the opportunity for a pre stay visit and took Milly along with us and we all liked what we saw. Great exercise paddock, walks and roomy kennels.The morning arrived, we were met by Chris, handed her lead to him and off she went without a care in the world!!We even received texts while we were away to let us know how she was doing.On our return, we were met with a very happy Milly and know she had enjoyed her stay, we will definitely recommend to family and friends.

4 Paws is always my 1st choice for the my 2 nutty cockers, they always come back happy, never subdued, and always happy enough to get out of the car when I leave, I have total confidence in Chris because he clearly knows and experienced enough how to deal and look after dogs well, his prices and opening times I think are the best in the area. My only problem is when he's fully booked and I can't get them in!!

Booked my spaniel in for a week at Four Paws while on holiday and wish that I had not. We came back to a dog who had been left with a severely infected leg wound that required stitches and 10 days of antibiotics. We are slowly recovering and having to have weekly vet checks. The owner told us he had not noticed and how my dog had eaten well and his stomach was normal but upon picking him up I noticed it straight away and we rushed to the vets. I have spoken to the owners on several occasions but they always come across as very uncaring and not bothered. I was told if they had noticed his leg they would of sought vet help immediately but yet I noticed it straight away on collecting my dog but they didn’t notice it for the week my dog was with them. Would never ever go near the place again or ever suggest anyone use them. The fact I trusted them to look after my dog and I come home to him in that state is heart breaking. How they can ignore a poorly dog in need of help is just beyond me and say he was regularly checked and it was never noticed by them.
