We spent 3 nights at the B&B and felt absolutely at home here! Anne is a great host and as everyone else says, the breakfast is phenomenal. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful B&B. My room looked onto the beach and water. What a magical view. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Rosie the dog was lovely and very friendly. Thus was my 2nd stay. I sure hope I get the opportunity to go again soon. Best Betty-Ann

In a lovely place, Bruichladdich, right on the sea. It's in a good location to reach the rest of the island as well. The place is nice, comfortable rooms with ample amenities. What stood out for us were the hosts, Anne and John, who were very nice, so accommodating and made lovely breakfasts. Also had friendly dogs, which were nice.

We really enjoyed staying at Anchorage. The rooms were nice and clean, had a kettle, teas and coffees in them (we stayed in one room and then were moved to another one with a beach view which became available). The host Anne is great - very friendly and accommodating. There’s a lovely living room downstairs with a fireplace and a lot of books which can be used by residents. Parking is easy - right in front of the house. Anchorage also welcomes dogs and there’s a beach and grass patch right in front of the house to walk your dog. Cooked breakfast was great and all you need to set you up for the day. All in all a very good stay at a great price and we’d stay there again!

Incredible! Beautiful room, hot water, incredible Scottish breakfast, only feedback I'd give is the blanket felt a bit small, if you fight over blankets this might be tough!

We're hardy campers but were very lucky that John's cabin was available to shelter us from high winds and rain! A relaxed and warm welcome made us feel at home. Our toddler was treated like a long lost grandchild, helping collect eggs. We found the cabins terrace to be the perfect spot for a wee dram by oil lamp or candlelight. The shop and distillery next door topped of a magically week of exploring islay & jura. Thanks John!

Hi Anne, thanks again for making our stay in Islay so warm and comfortable! The pictures of your self-serve cabin don't do it justice at all. Loved the warm wood interior and the rugs were a thoughtful touch. It had everything we needed. Good-as-new cookware, nice crockery and cutlery, and wine glasses (we used your egg cups as shot glasses ha). Modern bathroom has a heated towel rack. Had better sleep than in some 5-star hotels because the bed... Wow. With the super fluffy pillows and comforter, it was like a loving embrace. And just a 2-min walk from the Bruichladdich distillery. Perfect.

Anne is a fantastic host. Her hot English breakfast and coffee are the best we have enjoyed out of 5 Bnbs around Scotland. Great place to explore Islay from!
