It should be a minus 5 starsAfter ordering a steering cable over the phone I was assured that the said item was in stock and put to one side for me to collect the next day. With the tender stripped ready for the new cable we set off on the 1.5 hr journey from Windermere to collect it. On arrival and requesting the part the owner admitted that he had made a mistake and it was not in stock. Totally ruined my weeks holiday in the Lake District.Absolutely pathetic response from himAmazon here I come

They installed steering cables, helm, throttle cables and outboard security lock to my rib boat, the work was carried out to a high standard and was kept informed about additional work needed. The boat is now a dream to operate. Top marks for Pennine Marine, keep up the good work.

Extremely bad experience. Visited the shop to see and learn the differences between two types of inflatable boats I was interested in, Peter advised if I bought an F-RIB, I'd have it delivered in a few days after they had fitted launching wheels. After agreeing to buy it, the deal included launch wheels plus fitting and onward delivery. Leaving the shop unit, I asked for confirmation of delivery and Peter then said he had someone off it would be around 7 -10 days, not being in a great rush I reluctantly accepted. After around 15 days I sent an email enquiring when I'd get delivery....no reply. Left it another day or so and phoned, Peter was really apologetic and advised he had ordered it and it had been delayed, he would chase it and get it to me ASAP, sensed I was being lied to, but gave him the benefit of my doubt...silly I know! Another week passed still no sign of it, sent another email no reply for a few days.....now 28 full days since paying over £2600+ for the items, fitting and delivery, I receive an email again apologising for the delay but not advising when I would receive what I'd previously been told would take a few days. I contacted the UK agent for F-RIB who advised my boat hadn't even been ordered. I HAD BEEN LIED TO BY PETER FOR WEEKS LOOKING LIKE HE HAD NO INTENTION OF SUPPLYING MY BOAT....not happy!!Steve very kindly said he would follow up and get back to me, shortly later he called and said it should be sorted within a few days. I called Steve a few days later and was told Peter had now paid for it and Steve was sending the boat out same day for delivery the following day. Given the lies I'd been told I asked Steve to send the boat and launch wheels directly to me. The boat and wheels (not fitted) were delivered the following day. I contacted Peter by email looking for a partial refund for what he had not supplied namely the materials and time for fitting the wheels and the onward delivery charge as well as something to make up for the lies and horrendous customers service.....it now two weeks later (six weeks since paying for the items/fitting service and delivery) and I've not even received a reply, never mind a refund.Fitting the wheels took me around 2-3 hours and £18 for marine sealant....possibly slower than Penine Marine might have taken I appreciate but something I should have been refunded for.This guy cannot be trusted, possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced and he doesn't deserve your trade! I'd been more than reasonable and given Peter an opportunity to make up for his dishonesty, even after it being confirmed he been lying to me. Hopefully you don't give him the opportunity to do the same to you!

Extremely easy and straightforward to buy. Would be happy to use this company again.

I bought 2 second hand engines off these guys last year, I had problems with both engines , one was replaced immediately with a more expensive younger model and the other, which was a yamaha 25hp 2 stroke was completely striped down and repaired. They even sent their mechanic, on a saturday afternoon to pick it up. I cant praise these guys enough and after the service I had from them I would never use anyone else. It's very easy to give good service when things go well but when problems occur, that is when you find out just how good the company you are dealing with truly are and on that basis I have never recieved such a top quality service.
