Went for lunch. The food is nice, but the drinks and soup could do with being hotter. Lovely staff and dog friendly. Nice choice of cakes too.A few building teething problems with alarm going off but once those are sorted it will be very nice.

This is a delightful café attached to the famous bakery. Good quality food, and all bread is produced using the traditional long fermenting process, not the high speed process used in supermarket and factory breads. It is therefore healthy and actively good for your digestion.

Visited here for a coffee and to buy some items from the bakery counter.Couldn't resist a bacon roll and Eccles cake with my coffee. Lovely food, great tasting coffee. Definitely will be coming back again.

What a brilliant cafe/bakery in the Rutland countryside. Friendly service of high-quality, freshly baked products, both sweet and savoury. Smart venue with great country views.

Don’t go if you’re hungry! Rather over-rated food - good, but at ridiculous prices. Side salad (8 little leaves + 3 croutons and a sprinkle of cheese) £4.50, Tart (8cm diametre) £4.25 served on a side-plate! It’s a rip-off Hambleton Bakery. Never again!

I visited this café for the first time on a warm, sunny Wednesday afternoon in June 2023. I was with my elderly mother. The café has been created beautifully. There is plenty of seating inside and outside on the terrace but, on a hot day, we chose to sit inside, as there are no parasols or any real shade on the terrace. The selection of sweet and savoury food is huge. We chose fruit scones with jam and clotted cream. Delicious!! We liked the look of the savoury items on display so much that we then ordered a sausage roll and a goat's cheese, spinach and red pepper tart, which were hot and really tasty. The service at the counter was extremely friendly and professional and the young lady who brought our food and drink to the table was delightful. A little bit pricey, of course but we expected that, given the location in the Rutland countryside and the food on offer. A great find though and we'll certainly return. I would definitely recommend.Update 11 Oct 2023. Wow! Fantastic soup, sourdough and focaccia then a fruit scone and custard tart. Really lovely, peaceful location, even better food and the young ladies serving are lovely too.

Food ok (bread always good). I understand a small bakeray not be able to offer a range of gluten free but now there is a cafe gluten free products should be available even if it has to be bought inYours disappointed and hungry
