It's a station for ghost trains. Very busy if we could only see the ghost trains going from Denton to Longdendale where they can get on their ghost planes.

What a pity the good people of Denton have a choice of only one train a week - on a Saturday morning. Interesting that the operator, Northern Trains, doesn't list Denton (or its neighbour Reddish South) in its list of stations. Neither can you buy a ticket on its website. It's almost as though these two stations are too bothersome for the railway company, and it would dearly love to shut them, ignoring potential for marketing them as commuter/shopper links...with a regular service, of course!

Until the day when the residents get a proper service, better than one train a week in one direction, it will be a worthy quarry for Parliamentary train service enthusists
