Ishi Salon

So glad I discovered this place! The staff are so welcoming and attentive; they consistently go out of their way to make sure you're happy with the service and really do listen to what you want. There's lovely coffee while you wait, the salon offers student discount, and you can pop in between full appointments to get your fringed trimmed for free!

I went to Ishi for the first time today to get a full head of highlights. My stylist Paul was extremely welcoming as well as professional. He helped me pick a great selection of shades to suit my hair. He also used a toner on my hair which really cleaned up the colour from previous highlights.I am really happy with my highlights and after trying a few different salons in Edinburgh, I have finally found a place where I will definetly be back! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new Salon.

Went in this week for a keratin treatment with Lyndsey. She was SO wonderful and had me feeling pampered and beautiful. The gal who washed my hair was also super friendly and gave me a really nice head massage! My hair feels soft and looks really healthy - couldn’t be more pleased.

Ishi Salon has been a great experience for me, first time I go to a hairdresser in Scotland and as a gift to my 40th birthday! I chose Ishi because I loved the name, style and reviews, it was the perfect choice as my hair has the right colour, beautiful highlights and looking really healthy. As an American getting my done while traveling I can HIGHLY recommend this place. The colorist that to dyed my hair was amazing, especially because red is a difficult color sometimes. She absolutely nailed it.They were also very hospitable. I had water a tea and they offered magazines and were very communicative and friendly.

Was recommended to try Ishi by a friend. Had been cutting my own hair in lockdown and had found it was sitting better than when I was getting expensive cuts elsewhere! I was a bit worried about changing hairdresser but I am so glad I took the chance and tried Ishi! Fraser has done the best job on my hair I've had in years. I have deceptively difficult wavy hair that is notoriously sneaky and hard to style. Fraser cut it in a way that I love both curly and straight - and it's super easy to style. He was also really friendly and easy going and fast, so I'm absolutely delighted with my experience at Ishi. He's cut a fun style that isn't high maintenance. Would highly recommend.

I went here for the first time today and Chris cut and styled my hair. I wanted a lot cut off, I wasn't even totally sure what I wanted but he did an amazing job. I've never been happier with a haircut, I love it! He spent a lot of time making sure it was right and honestly seemed to care about it more than I did! He was also friendly and a good laugh. Will definitely be going back.

Alison has been cutting my hair for a year now, and always does a fantastic job. She really listens and makes sure that you're happy with the cut. Her customer service skills are second-to-none. I've had some dodgy haircuts in Edinburgh and I'm relieved to have found a salon and a hairdresser I can trust completely. Added to that, the price isn't too bad at all. I regularly drop in for free fringe trims and I'm always warmly received and accommodated. Well done everyone! Keep up the good work!
