YMCA Camp Williams

If you are putting your kids into Camp William for a whole week it looks brilliant. They get to choose from a wide range of great activities. If you put them in for less than a week they get no choice, and seem to be treated as second class citizens. The site chooses an activity for all of those kids only there for a few days which they do every day they attend each week. Ours got drama which neither would have chosen. And they know they will be stuck doing that for the rest of the days that week. In the afternoon they did swimming which consisted of one length following by a free for all of kids and floats, very little structure and no chance to really swim as pool was so full. In between they did indoor games which seemed ok, but the whole thing is made worse by them being able to see the kids who are there all week rock climbing, bike riding, scootering, skate boarding and all sorts outside while they seem to be killing time or doing stuff they didn't choose. The website and brochure is full of pics of great activities and the kids were really looking forward to it. we mentioned it to the staff onsite who said, yes we know it isn't great and we've fed this back before to the marketing staff because we think its misleading and it shouldn't be advertised in this way""

My youngest (8 years) has just spent her first full week here. She has loved it and can't wait to go back again. Great staff, great activities. Highly recommended.

We have just had our first week at camp williams, and my 11 year old son loved it. Highly recommend. The staff are very friendly, fun, and bouncing with energy. Will definitely book again for later in the year.

Excellent camp for the kids. Very well organised with some brilliant leaders and activities to choose from.

I fell from the rock climbing walk and hit head hard. I had a concussion it was terrible. The harness snapped

a smile guaranteed, lots of fun and exciting activities

After speaking with some of the leaders,(after a bad experience) I wish them all good luck and a great time and long the river during the holidays.

Fantastic School Holiday Childcare, brilliant location and setting very inclusive. Staff are well trained and really get to know the kids my son always comes home a very happy camper

Our son absolutely loves going to Camp Williams and has attended regularly since it was a small club back at rushcliffe leisure centre. The skills clinics are brilliant and he always feels like he's achieved something. Staff are supportive, the values are great, it's just excellent overall
