The Bedford Golf Club

Went here for a works Xmas do and the food we were served really wasn't great for the price, £32.50 per head. I had a pork belly starter which was very dry and had very little sauce. Turkey main, it was literally 2 slices of turkey, 3 overcooked roast potatoes, one parsnip and one tiny pig in a blanket.Deserts were supposed to be Christmas Eton Mess, Profiteroles, Chocolate Yule Log, Winter Berry Trifle & Christmas Pudding. My table got the trifle and some slices of fudge cake which wasn't even on the menu, nothing else turned up and the deserts that were put on the table were removed after a very short period of time, people up dancing didn't even get a chance to eat them as they were taken away without being touched so quickly.I don't know what it's like to Golf here, but I personally would not recommend eating the food here as it's really poor for such a high price. Think of it this way, would you pay £32.50 for school dinners? Because that's pretty much what I was served.

Played here recently and after all the rain and bad weather the course was very much playable, there was only water on the pathways.The t boxes and greens were in brilliant condition considering.A great all year round course for the all weather golfer.

The club house bar has a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The course is well kept and is fairly flat with some interesting layouts. The food they serve is generally of a very high standard with plenty of attention to detail that I find pleasing. The roast dinners are very nice and they even provided a well-done version of the roast beef for me as I prefer my meat cooked through... Very helpful and understanding!

Only negative is the 8th hole??Some sad sod who lives overlooking the 8th fairway must have complained about golf balls coming into his garden as the golf club has had to make a par 4 a par 3 - which makes a very similar hole to the following 9th hole.To the guy that complained...... if you don’t like golf balls in your back yard. Don’t live on a golf course????? Please just move! Seriously

Great golf club and course! You can play here whatever the weather as it drains so quickly, undulating greens will test your putting, course flat and not excessively long but a good test of golf. Staff good as well. Very good seniors section on Wed's. If you play golf you will enjoy this course. If not, an excellent place to start!!!

Had my grandsons christening here service was very good and the venue was clean and well maintained with lovely views over the greens.

The course was relatively flat, but poorly signposted, the tee signs faced the wrong way so you did not no which hole you were at, as some of the tees were quite a walk away.One of the bug bears of this course is the continued public walking through the multitude of public pathways through the course, this was very very annoying.Buggy was really expensive @ over £27.00 at the end of our round we fancied a bite to eat but all facilities were finished at 3pm, we finished at 3.05pm so nothing to eat or drink. May go back when everything is up and running...UPDATE, now heard that the course is being sold for housing development this explains the state of the place and some of the staff surley attitude to players, also no discount for seniors like other well appointed clubs, again no food service or bar, even at 1435...

My family and I enjoyed a most delightful afternoon in the restaurant for our mothers day. The food was fresh, hot and tasty- clean plates all round.The service was good.- nothing was too much trouble. Some of the family hadn't been before and having been suitable impressed will definitely return for more of the great experience. Other members of our family are regulars at various times of the day/ week. The manager and his staff are very welcoming and attentive. Great job overall guys. Thank you

Lovely course with excellent greens! The course drains very well and plays beautifully all year long. The bar/restaurant offer a range of drinks/food at good prices the the service is excellent!

Attend sons wedding party, nice location easy access by road/car. Friendly efficient staff, well stocked bar. Dance floor bit small and no aircon. Unable to open doors to let in cool air as music would disturb neighbours. Ample parking
