Loved it here. The great weather helped, but superb views, and a good walk.

Humphrey Head, Cumbria is picturesque and beautiful. Get your wellies on and be ready for your day's adventure. You may need a local to show you and enjoy the full essence of the area by climbing up the hills and walk your way round but it is not necessary.I drove right down to the end from the main street. Very narrow lane for one car at a time in a single file.Packing can be a bit difficult but if you really want a a space you'll find one.It is muddy and there are other better and beautiful places around the area but with this one you appreciate it for what it is and capture the natural beauty of nature.

Proceed with caution! There are dangerous tides and quicksand along this stretch of beach. Strongly advise to admire the sea views from the cliff, and coastal path where it is safer.

Wee drive here to check out the scenery, last couple of miles is a very tight single track road with only a few passing places and vegetation scraping the sides of the car, avoid with a big vehicle. Once on foot a decent walk for us as it was very dry. The tide was miles out for us, couldnt see the water it was so far out. Could be a bit dodgy I would think with the tide coming in and bad weather so plan ahead for a nice day. my springer spaniel loves it too, he was swimming in all the little bits of water left behind. Lots of birds in the cliffs including some Peregrine's, very good for a wee adventure.

Quite a nice walk, but was very muddy when we visited and there are no clearly defined or signposted paths. That said, the views are decent and if you climb the Head, they improve significantly.

Nice walk, although it was 24 degrees and our doddering 12yr old Schnauzer (he's on the photo) struggled and we had to call it a day before getting halfway. The younger two dogs loved the mud and water though, unfortunately.

Beautiful place. Followed the road right to the end and found a small car park. The tide was out so we walked along the side of the point (careful this can get real muddy) to the end where it is low enough that you can walk along the top and back towards the activity centre. From there you can either re-trace your steps or just follow the road back to the car park. There is an airfield nearby that spent all day dropping parachuters from the plane, that was interest to watch.
