Porthmeor Beach Car Park
If you lucky enough to find parking next to the beach that's an advantage as the rest of the car park are bit of a steep hill walk. Enjoyed the day at the beach.

Bodyboarding at Porthmeor alone so checked in with staff at the surf school because the surf can be quite rough. They were brilliant, friendly and helpful.

Sadly, over the years, this place has become a tourist magnet. It's hard to find parking and the area is just packed during the summer. I was unlucky to follow my sat navigation for a car park that was close to the harbour (my biggest error) and I ended up driving slowly through a sea of people who just didn't care that I was trying to come through. The road signs are confusing and it just doesn't have that quaint and seaside feel anymore. Everything is overpriced and feels cheap. Pity.

If you can get a space…. Then this ladies & Gents is a really good place to park! The views are spectacular being right on top of the beach.If you have a camper van then it makes for a great place to park up for a brew! Although I believe it’s locked at night so I wouldn’t aim to sleep over!It’s ideally located for pretty much everywhere in St.Ives with the Tate Museum being almost behind you.A great base for an evenings photography too if that’s your bag, the Sunsets are true my amazing!

Postage stamp parking area, tiny motorcycle parking bay. However views and access to one of the nicest beaches going, there is a bigger car park at the top of the hill but also very busy. Access to Tate St Ives also.

The pay machine at the car park was out of order. when you pay by app, they charge fix amout for 4hrs fees , customers cant reduce or change the time there was not option in the app. This happened to other car parkers as well. Feels like they take the summer time opportunity to loot customer . However the beach was good.

Car parks a car park! Really small though, machine didn't work so had to ring through. Max 3 hour stay at £4 something. Nice views from the car park.

The best parking in St Ives...and one of the hardest to get. 3hrs max is plenty to see the town, and this parking is right next to the lovely beaches and a 5min walk to the high street.If you want to try for a space, defo go for 9am or earlier, and good luck. Payment by coins or JustPark app (£4.90 for 3 hrs and hourly rates available)
