I desperately needed a haircut on 12th April after lockdown. The usual Barbers I’ve been going to for years and am very satisfied with was booked for 3 weeks so I searched for a walk in. I queued from 7.15am for the 8am opening and so glad I did.I used to have my hair cut here as a kid when my parents took me to Conrad and Frank, so have fond memories.I had heard of the very sad loss of the original owner Frank but didn’t realise that his son Grant had taken over until I Googled last week. As my good school buddy at the time Mark was Frank’s other son, I was glad to read that it was still in this lovely family’s hands. I fondly remember their mum Jan, being the most classiest and kind lady.Grant opened up early and adhered fully to the Covid guidelines so have no fear. He was very pleasant and polite, as was the lady Barber too.A real bonus and surprise for me was seeing GARETH again who used to cut my hair for years at Francesco. It took me so long to find someone as good as him when he left. He went on to FG Man more recently and has always had an excellent reputation locally.Gareth did an absolutely BRILLIANT cut today and I am SO pleased with the result. As well as being an outstanding, highly qualified and experienced Barber he is the most genuine and nicest of guys. It was great to have a catch up.So, do not hesitate about going here. If I need a back up Barbers I will definitely return, and is excellent value at only £12.00Thank you all for your hard work and I sincerely hope you continue to go from strength to strength.Dave Woolrich.

Great service and very friendly staff.

I have only recently tried this place and so far I’ve had 2 haircuts and beard trims. The quality of both, haircut and beard trim has been perfect for me. You can tell immediately that the new owner has had a lot of experience and is very natural and confident in this profession. The place has a nice character to it and as it’s in a quieter part of town, I’d say it’s a hidden gem.

First visit in many years. Original owner deceased, now run by his son. Also, first time in recent years that the procedure has not started off with a query as to what 'number' I wanted on the sides. In fact the haircut was completed using only scissors and comb with just a tiny flourish of the shears at the end. Very relaxing. Will definitely be using from now on.
