After sitting for 15 minutes being ignored the waitress finally came over and asked if we would like a drink. We ordered and the food came within a few minutes, when the waitress put it down in front of me she let out a small groan as if she was dropping off a parcel in her trousers. I also didn't realise I was applying for a job when I was handed a pizza cutter to cut my own pizza. If I'd have known the pizza was so bland, I would have just gone to the local shop and bought a bag of gress instead.

Great ambience, friendly staff. Their risotto and half and half pizza are amazing.

They asked us to pay more than we ordered. We ordered a normal pizza and they brought us the expensive one. We tried to change the price but they didn't change it. And they told us that it was our fault for not listening. Very bad

Went for my mums birthday meal as she enjoys Italian.Four of us dining, had a voucher for a free garlic bread (Zizzi Zillionaires club promo) which the waitress acknowledged for the table. So 1 garlic bread, Chicken Spiedini and a Pork and garlic meatballs (wanted Calamari but none available)Starters all came relatively quick and the service seemed great.Bit of a wait for mains, 2 Rustica Piccante pizza's, 1 Margherita with mushrooms and a Hot Smoked Salmon Carbonara. So the pizza's came and the wrong pasta dish, so had to send the pasta back.A long wait for the Carbonara, meant we'd nearly finished the Pizza's when it arrived. Pizza's were all good. What was worse was the pasta was very heavy (consistency of a Gnocchi) not enjoyable at all, so over half the plate was left. Then 3 desserts were ordered, an ice cream, a Honeycomb cheesecake and a Triple chocolate and marshmallow sundae. (which there were no marshmallows on, just something else they forgot)Then asked for the bill and it came quite quick, no offer for a discount or a free drink for my sister who had the disastrous main.Stupidly didn't check the bill when paying and we were charged for the garlic bread! So all in all a disappointing meal out, I shan't be recommending Zizzi chester to anyone.Incompetent staff who clearly arnt part of the old Zizzis's which we used to enjoy.

Awful experience. Booked for daughters 7th birthday family meal. From duty manager having no clue how to handle a not so common food allergy, and having to request speaking with general manager (told by duty manager that's basically a waste of time as he'll say no different to what he had been). Duty manager was much more helpful and although helping to sort the allergen issue managed to get the only other food order he took wrong. Incredibly slow service with staff seemingly distracted, when asked one lady for a wine of glass she managed to completly forget, and we had to chase. When the wine was Brough the waitress didn't bother to check if anyone else of the 9 people wanted a drink. We managed to finally order a round of drinks and then got forgotten, again. Had to chase up with waitress. Waitress the Brought drinks over managing to tip the tray and resulted in spilling a drink on floor and father in laws coat. Once the meal was finished and the bill given to us we were splitting the bill in 3, they couldn't even manage to calculate that properly and wanted to charged the 3rd payment nearly £25 more than what was on the bill. The restaurant wasn't even busy to factor them being stretched, duty manager had zero clue how to handle allergen issues and people skills lacked massively. Seemed to be a comedy of errors, would not recommend this zizi to anyone unfortunately.

Quite annoying that there's no actual waitress service and you have to order by the app. Also you can't actually start ordering until staff put your table number as occupied, which wasted nearly 10 minutes trying to order! Only 2 staff so again, waited a while for food to be brought out even though chef had shouted meals away. Food is lovely though and good gluten free options. Another annoying issue is have to pay by card. Then they have the nerve to default 10% tip..... what exactly for I don't know...

In a new area by Chester market. Prices were normal. Coffee served in a tiny odd clear cup. I’d have preferred a larger regular one to keep it hot. Garlic bread was good but the chorizo carbonara wasn’t great. Expected a taste explosion but it was essentially tasteless slop. Decor was nice, atmosphere okay. Toilets clean. And we got the garlic bread free due to having a voucher by signing up for the club. If you want great pasta try Ask, but there’s no close ones. Or a master class in carbonara Little Italy in Aberystwyth. Would I go back? Probably only with someone else paying.

We ended up at zizzi's after a long drive from Sussex it was lovely the staff were friendly my son thought the chef (mark) dancing was funny and it kept him entertained in trying to catch him dancing in between eating his food our server (eliza?) Was very friendly and happy to help. We watched the chefs preparing food the lady chef (cannot remember her name possibly amelia?) Was very impressive in her pizza making skills the calzone was delicious

It took too long for the food to arrive. The pasta fresh pasta wasn’t as expected at all while the salmon and pesto risotto was very oily and tastes very bad. Don’t think will give it another try in future

Italian chain restaurant located just outside the New Market. Nice interior, split into sections, one decorated with hanging ivy and a tree! Another section has a view right into the kitchen, where you can see the pizzas going into the giant oven - great for kids to watch.I had a Margherita, on Zizzi's rustic base. I like the soft middle and crusty edges. It wasn't perfectly circular, but does that matter?Friendly staff and service was fast on my visit (though it was a quiet night). I’ve since visited again, on a busy evening - service was holding up well, staff were very efficient, this restaurant is now well established. Good to have Zizzi back in Chester.I observed high standards of cleanliness, with tables cleaned as soon as the previous party left. The toilets were immaculate.
