the dumb brunette

It was my first time visiting the dumb brunette. To start of,The Pros : convenient location, great decor, the woman who greeted me at the reception was nice offering me a beverage.The Cons: The stylist I was assigned. The service was unprofessional. She asked me my age and then commented she thought I was older and would’ve already had kids by now (innocent or not, it was a fairly rude remark). The hair setting done also did not hold beyond an hour and had to be redone at home before my event. I had done similar services in other salons where the setting was in place for close to 10 hours. Some water was also spilled on my eyes during the hair washing process.In my opinion if you want to visit this store, make sure you get a different stylist than the one I got (the grad/trainee stylist).

I went to get hair cuts for my two bouys and myself today. :) Lovely ambience, great price and good cuts :-D

I love the ethos behind a more sustainable and environmentally friendly salon! The staff and very friendly and I loved my hair cut! You can book on line as well as phoning the salon so it's very user friendly. Would Definitely recommend!

Wonderful salon, I've been coming to Cherise since May this year and always leave very happy. She's a wonder with my blonde and always makes me giggle! A credit to the salon (and she makes a cracking cuppa)

I absolutely love Dumb Brunette and would not go anywhere else. I love the ethos, style, ethical products and service . Chrissi has always done my hair and gives amazing advice, she takes time to explain everything. I have been transitioning to grey which is a massive step. Her professionalism and skill is making this a great journey for me . I cannot recommend highly enough . Thank you

Excellent salon, very stylish, Cherise was an excellent stylist, very knowledgeable regarding colour and how best to help me achieve the look and shade I wanted. I loved the way she blow dried and curled it too, looked really lovely when I left. Very happy and will be sticking with Cherise in future.

Chrisi cut my hair today and gave the most detailed hair consultation I have ever had ready for my next appointment. Lovely from start to finish, my hair looks totally refreshed and I’m looking forward to having my colour with her next month!

Went here on 13th December asking for an angled bob, a style I've had for several years..My appointment was with the owner. On arriving home I checked it out in my own mirror and found not only was there virtually no 'angle', one side was longer than the other and it looked like a child's haircut, same length all the way round. I rang the salon within an hour and asked for it to be looked at. Next day I was seen by Crisi. She evened up the sides and I asked for the back to be 'angled' (she was on her own and clearly pushed for time) and I was left with a 'stepped' appearance with shorter hair at the back but the overall length the same so in fact it looked even worse. I rang again and was given another appointment next week. I'm not prepared to risk this place again so have found a hairdresser willing to fit me in before Christmas to try to sort out this mess. I paid £42 for this and was stupid enough to leave a tip. Worst haircut I've ever had and I've had some bad haircuts! (I have documented this with pictures)

I’ve been here twice and had Cherise. My first time I had a full colour change from copper to black, Cherise was so lovely and did a great job. A few days later I noticed some areas that still had my old colour and she had me back in and went over these and did a thorough check of my hair to make sure I was happy. The second time I had a cut, I was stuck in between two different options and Cherise offered me a third one where I could have both the styles I wanted just through styling the hair in different ways. She cut my hair amazingly and styled it so well! I find getting my hair done a bit of a chore but Cherise was very friendly and chatty which made the time pass quickly. Can’t see myself going to anyone else.
