Amazing venue in the heart of Edinburgh. Great staff. Went for a dinner and a ceilidh and the food was fantastic. The bar prices are a little steep but the venue more than made up for it. One of the staff, Dorin, was particularly attentive and helpful on the night. The amount of running about she did to make sure the night went smoothly was insane!

Wannabe chic, but poor service. They've tried to scam us by charging few things on top of the total price. The food is average, not bad but not so good (the fries were floury, the pie was dry, but the vegetables were good), the meat was pretty good (we've tried the haggis). The waiters were not so nice, and the worst is at the end when they asked us to pay, we asked for the bill and she said she would give it to us after paying. So we paid and she gave us a folded receipt. Of course we unfolded it, and there were 10£ extra for things we didn't order. We had to negotiate for the refund. In the end they refund us.

We recently had our wedding here. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond. The venue is immaculate. The food was amazing. My guests, my partner and I absolutely loved the experience we had here. Would recommend to anyone interested in having a wedding in an environment that you'll remember forever for all the right reasons.

Attended a group event here. We were at the upper floor auditorium. The room was beautifully decorated and just gorgeous. However the main dishes were quite bland and way under-seasoned. The chicken breast didn’t taste like anything and the risotto option looked more like a salad than a risotto dish. The dessert however was quite good and enjoyable.

Beautiful venue, great atmosphere. We went there for our Christmas night out and the food was okay, which was a little bit disappointing. Someone in our group had the beef brisket, which was dry, and many didn't enjoy the cranachan cheesecake. I would go back as it is a nice pub, but i may choose to eat elsewhere.

On 25th November last week, I had Xmas party of my company in there. All staffs were very kind. Our Xmas meals are also very good. And music band was good too. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!

Really cool atmosphere, live music and nice staff. However the food isn't really wonderful and it takes a long time to be served.The prices are quite high, 16£ for a piece of chicken and some potatoes.
