Tours in a Dish
Marion's Eco Food Tour was a great way to get to know York and its eco food scene, giving us plenty of inspiration and pointers for where to go for the rest of our trip.The food spots she took us to were catered to our needs (two vegetarians in the group) and preferences, with something in there for everyone. Would definitely recommend the tour for any foodies wanting to get know the city from a local.

Joined the Hidden Gems Food Tour of York as a party of 6. Marion, our host, was so lovely and very knowledgeable about the places we visited and pointed out lots of interesting things on the walking in between. Some lovely food tasters and definitely gave us some ideas for future trips to York. Would highly recommend.

We went on the “Tour in a Dish” on Saturday 14, October with Marion. A fun, entertaining, and satisfying experience. Marian led the tour with insight and engagement. She facilitated interaction and allowed the attendees to direct conversation and interact socially. Marion has insight to the area and connections with the stores and merchants.

Tours in a Dish
We recently discovered the food tour phenomenon on our honeymoon earlier this year so we were really excited to try one a little closer to home. Marion was the perfect host and took us on a journey around York to 5 of the best eateries to enjoy food and flavours from around the world. We got to speak to local entrepreneurs about what makes their produce so special and of course enjoy generous samples at each location.

A brilliant experience that I would recommend to anyone. You really get to see some hidden gems and learn about each place you visit. Marion the guide is an amazing person and truly knows her craft well. You will be made very welcome and have a great time.

We had a wonderful time on our hidden gems food tour . All of the food was delicious . Marion was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and also the history of York. We live in york and we were amazed to find these places and we also learnt a lot about the city that we did not know about , like some other reviews have mentioned we cannot recommend highly enough. A must for visitors at any time of year .

Absolutely loved this food tour.A really great way to spend a few hrs exploring the city and eating some lovely food. Marion was really knowledgeable and had clearly put a lot of thought and care into selecting high quality, independent food outlets. I've been to York quite a few times before but all the venues were new to me and I'll be returning to them I'm sure! Highly recommend this if you're heading to York.

Great tour guide, Marion was warm, welcoming and friendly. Great organisation. Liked that it was all ‘hidden gems’ - didn’t know some of them and nice that it was a surprise.
