Stayed here for a hen do during the fringe festival. Perfect self catering accommodation and only 10 mins walk from the old town and all the fringe festival action. Free wi-fi and there's a bus to the airport that stops at the end of the road!

Good place to live for studying albeit a bit pricy (only downside I guess). Staff were helpful and friendly.

If you like cramped and dirty rooms, sticky communal spaces, a bathroom that's falling apart and waking up to fake fire alarms, then go here for your vacation or business trip. Staff is friendly, though.

Impossible to sleep in this street due to the noise of nesting seagulls on the roof. I suggest you call pest control as there are many ways to deal with this legally.

Budget accommodation during the Fringe. Rooms are great if you're using Edinburgh for a base, the kitchen and living room is pretty barren though, barely enough to cook a meal for 6.

Staff are rude and invasive. Walked in without knocking, went through my things when they knew I wasn't there without my permission. Ried to charge me for damages I hadn't made then repainted walls anyway. Gave less than two weeks notice for me to have all my things packed up and out the way so they could refurbish and I had to come back to Edinburgh to move it all. Appliances didn't work sometimes and maintenance would take at least 4 months to fix. Washing machines always broken down, door locks not working properly so you can't get in, cold water for days at a time and dusty heaters that make you ill. Etc.

I would not recommend student to live here in the future. 1. They lost my parcel but found in the corner two months later. 2. Receptionists are making jokes of Asian students, which is quite disrespectful. 3. When you need them to let somebody to look at the room they will ask your flatmate to open the door. Basically they just don’t want to help you. 4 there was a mouse in my room at midnight. 5. They have no cleaners to tidy the kitchen and your bath room even the hall way. 6. I spent nearly 7 quid to do the laundry each time. 7. The nearby supermarket are way much expensive compared to other places. 8. Many rooms face wall so you cannot have a proper Meadows view at all. 9. People here use drugs and you can smell them in your room because the air system is connected with each bathroom and kitchen. 10. Very few people are willing to take over your room if you are not happy with it. So you have to stick with this room until the contract ends. This happens quit a lot. 11. When you open the tap in the washing basin, the wasting water will come up from your shower sink.
