The River Wyre
Spent nearly £100 yesterday for cheap cuts of meat ordered steak pie was all full of fat so not cooked long enough couldn't eat it. Daughter ordered Korean chicken skewers again cheapest cuts of chicken so was laced with skin and soggy fat husband ordered rib eye again nothing to write home about kids ordered the pizzas only decent thing about it. I came here last time I was on holiday and whatever had changed it hasn't changed for the better as it was beautiful the last time we came very disappointed staff were lovely went out of their way for you and that's the only reason I paid and left

Came in for impromptu drinks and nibbles for my birthday as it was mid week. Fires were roaring and a lovely warm atmosphere. My sons mentioned it was my birthday and the next thing Gemma and Emily came out singing happy birthday, tambourine in hand with a sorbet, candle and happy birthday written on a plate in fruit coulis! Super lovely little touch that made a mid week birthday extra special! Thank you both, will be back again for they delicious Sunday roast I've had before xx

Absolutely amazing customer service & food! We had the leak & potato soup and the mushrooms for starters and they were delicious! We had the chicken & curry for our mains. Derek was so kind and informative when he greeted us and showed us to our table. He asked if we wanted any other drinks and if our food was nice. All of the food was lovely! This was our first time at this restaurant & we will definitely be back and will tell our friends and family. Cass was also so kind and helpful. Dined on 1-11-2023 at 4:30pm.

Amazing roast dinner...best we have had for ages. Service was outstanding from Jemma. Food arrived quickly and was delicious.... will definitely be back !

Our service from Caz/Kaz was incredible, she was very accommodating with our large group. She happily dealt with every request without complaint and made us feel very welcome, advised us on the best offers and made us want to come back again soon. THANK YOU SO MUCH!Also bar man made beautiful summer spritz and all the food was cooked to perfection! Thanks again!

The cocktails are very good, nice and boozy. The food is very tasty. We had a variety of meats and fish and every dish was delicious

Always thought about trying this place but never have. Glad I finally have. Food was really tasty, open fire kept you warm. Dogs are welcome too. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.
