Four stars, wifi and no mobile signal lets you down….Lovely little stopover with plenty of space to park up. Wouldn’t fancy the green field parking area on a wet day - muddy and slopes.Free, but they expect you to dine there, so do go and enjoy dinner, the food is to die for.Very hospitable hosts, excellent service, and apart from comms issues, cannot fault.

What could possibly be better than a warm , freshly prepared and tasty meal? Came here with my grandparents who highly recommend the chicken flatbread , which is also great value and looked amazing too. Had the giant Yorkshire and it was beautiful and definitely the best I've had. Not only that but after , we had the gorgeous coffee and cake. Amazing service from amazing staff and made the experience enjoyable! Highly recommend , great food , great service and amazing atmosphere!

First rate piece of fish sadly let down by soggy chips. Shame as the meal deserved 5 stars. Typical British, we don't complain. The chef must of known the Inferior quality

I think this place is a new favourite. The food was beautiful. Some of the best quality and taste I've had in a while.The service was brilliant and I loved the quaintness.So refreshing to see a pub that offers brilliant food that hasn't confirmed to cheap mass produced food that is poor quality because that's what the masses" want.Please keep up the great service."

Lovely place to eat. Amazing service from the manager (we think he was anyway) and our server Lillian, and all the workers we engaged with were so lovely. Food was amazing - the onion rings are massive! We had the creamy garlic mushrooms & halloumi/brie/mozzarella sticks for starters and they were amazing as well. Will happily come back if we're in the area again! Really appreciated them being dog-friendly as well. Despite our dog barking at another one quite a lot, all the staff were lovely with her and the manager even gave her a treat. There is even a food option for dogs on the menu, but our dog has quite a restricted diet and due to a long car journey didn't fancy risking it.

Excellent, the food is fabulous. The signature Yorkshire pudding is so good. You can tell that a place is good when it’s so popular despite being a little off the main track. It was packed all the time we were there and showed no signs of easing up as we moved from Sunday lunch to evening. They are very well organised and kept everything running smoothly. Meals delivered in a timely manner.

Today had a very disappointing lunch ,yorkie over done , fish had a weird taste as if it was cooked in old oil or fat , the chips were hard to bite into yet chewy as you ate them and had an old fat taste too , mushy peas tasted like bicarbonate as if not rinsed .The Lasagne was dry & stodgy .Went a few weeks ago and all was delicious so you can image out disappointment. The waitress removed the cost of fish & chips which was kind but it spoilt our experience .Could have been a different chef - but not good at all .

Gorgeous little pub in a rural area it would be perfect for walkers and somewhere to go for lunch due to it being so close to Lotheron Hall.It's a clean well kept pub with very friendly and kind staff and they made us feel very welcome. The menu has a nice selection and it has the option to have smaller portions of the food for a deal of the main 9.99, 2 dishes for 14.99 and 3 dishes for 19.99 which was perfect for us due to being a big party. We all had 2 dishes and the food tasted amazing the portions were perfect size and it was all handmade and beautifully cooked, will definitely be going there again
