This place is... A piece of Galicia in London. I've never felt so close my born place. The food is Galician. The waitresses are Galician and the clients are Galician as well!! I tried here a cocido gallego and was very good. The price was 25£ each one. Is good for groups and people that like eat a lot of good food of course. I'm bias talking about this place but... How avoid that?

A group of friends and I went here to celebrate one of our colleagues returning to his home town in Galicia. The food was incredible! I ordered 4 lots of tapas which was a lot of food but with a big group of people this did not matter as we all shared. The whitebait was my favourite dish and would definitely consider returning again if I were to find myself in the area.

Tonight a group of us who frequent this place will be eating there for the last time before the amazing Spanish/Galician crew leaves on the 15th of April.We have never been disappointed, the food is homely and the services is very family-like. Every time we went there, we would order the unlimited tapas set meal and we have had to tell them to stop bringing food at some point as the portions are always massive. We always leave with an over-filled-satisfied-belly. :)I am glad I celebrated my 40th here last year!

Just had a Saturday lunch at Galicia with my Spanish wife and her Mother. Both enjoyed it (as did i), everyone agreed it was a very authentic spanish experience. The food was good, but nothing outstanding, just good Spanish style cooking with good ingredients. The food was quite inexpensive, but the wine wasn't cheap.We enjoyed it and will likely go back.

I really like this place. Fantastic tapas and the service is just excellent. The staff is very friendly and make you feel just like at a family dinner. Have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Just perfect for a dinner with friends.

They used to be very good, I had gone there many times but won't be back. Galicia has resorted to serving re-heated tapas for Sunday lunch cooked the previous day (Patatas Bravas, Tortilla and Paella did not taste good or fresh) - when we flagged this to the waiter he didn't seem to find it a problem. He said they had leftovers and the chefs didn't have time to do cook a fresh batch yet (we arrived at 1PM)..

Even though this restaurant is right on Portobello Market, when you enter, it feels like you're in Spain. Spanish people everywhere. Very buzzy and popular so book in advance. Good tapas. Have recommended this to friends and they adore it too.

This is literally a trip to Galicia.Staff is very friendly, recipes are traditional and they really get to cook as my granny (She is from Galicia); quality is great too and the prices are cheap for what you are eating.Do not go without ordering Octopus. ;)

I was born in Spain and living there for 28 years before moving to London. This is the best spanish restaurant in London. Excellent food, When I left the restaurant I couldn't believe I was in London, as I felt as if I were in Spain. Excellent and friendly service as well. We had a fullfilling dinner for two for £40. This is an A++, I'll be back quite soon.
