Loch Ness Viewpoint
Great walk to arrive to the loch Ness and enjoy the lake. Obviously, I couldn't see Nessie but the walk is worthy and only you need half an hour to arrive there. Good place to go

Park at the graveyard public lot off Kilmore. Part of Woodland Trust Scotland. If there has been a lot of rain, the river will be hard to cross

Loch Ness Viewpoint
Okay view after a bad path. The first part is through a nice forest, before there is a river crossing (no views up to there). For us, the water was easily ankle deep and quite wide, so watertight shoes were necessary to avoid getting wet. Then, the short path to the water front was muddy and partially blocked. It's nice standing directly at Loch Ness, but, as others have mentioned, you can't see the castle.Other easily reached viewpoints are better than this, so I would skip this if you are not a local.

To get there, I took a bus from Inverness bus station to drumnadrochit. A short walk to Loch Ness viewpoint. The view was beautiful. Highly recommended.

We have been getting into cold water swimming. This is officially the coldest more northern water I have had the pleasure of entering. It gave me pins and needles in my head. Beautiful part of the country. Lovely walk through the forest leading to the blending of the rivers into the loch.

Pretty remote, on the walk down looks like you’re going the wrong way, but very much worth it once you get there. Super pretty view of the lake from the pier

After doing the NC500 ,I felt that doing loch Ness last would be the cherry on top...Very disappointed, the only castle ruins that we had camped near ( about 1.5 mile walk) didn't allow dogs so the only view point we could get was a muddy little cove that allowed you to see about 200 meters of the loch ...The ONLY place in 2 weeks traveling that didn't allow dogs..no signs just 2 blokes stopped us..no dogs ,sorry ..
