Albert is a good lad, they changed the name to bertos or something but it's still the same cool place. Lunch deal is great for 10 inch and chips.

The Town House Tea Room is a typical take away food at night. We got a couple of half pound burgers from there at £4 a pop. Not bad value, but the chilli burger, literally had some very very watery chilli sauce on. It was that watery you couldn't taste it, so it tasted like two warmed up, or microwaved burgers. Every other takeaway venue I have had a chilli burger, it is loaded with jalapenos and then you get a choice of sauce on top, proper in watered down sauce. Gave the place two stars because other food might be okay there that I haven't tried, being from Liverpool if I come back to Newcastle I won't be trying it anyway so I wont. It also made me laugh with a peculiar set up there. While in the queue somebody ordered food and asked for student discount that I assume they normally get. Man behind counter just said no and laughed. Said not at the time.

Whatever you do DO NOT give these people your business. They charge you at least 40% more than the average takeaway in town and their portions are a lie! Ordered kebab meat chips and garlic - 2 slithers of kebab and mostly chips - friend ordered a 10 pizza and we measure it - guess what - it was 8" . They want to rip you off and take your money for a pathetic excuse of food! Not good at all - not friendly - didn't like the complaint - will NEVER go again and I advise you not to either"

Came here for lunch because of the good lunch deals. £2.50 for an (almost) 10 pizza. Pizza's were good for this price

Small cafe selling quite a large selection of items from pizza and kebabs to sandwiches and even curries. Inside looks haggered and it's boiling hot all the time. Food is average but extremely cheap. Bearing in mind you can get a 10 inch pizza at lunchtime for £2.50 that's super cheap. Especially comparing it to zapatista next door who charge over 5 quid for a glorified chicken sandwich. So if the awful heat and decor don't put you off you can get super cheap but acceptable food. Give it a shot. I wouldn't sit in I'd get takeaway.
