I took my bridesmaid dress to be altered. Cathy kindly fitted me in as she was very busy. She did a lovely job on my dress, taking it up and making straps. Very reasonable price too. Highly recommend.

Cathy did a fabulous job of covering my cushion. As I had just had a hip replacement. I have taken my cushion everywhere with me. All my family and friends have admired it and said what a lovely professional job that had been done. Not to mention everyone wanted to sit on it. Many thanks again Cathy.

I took my wedding dress to Cathy to be altered. I brought it from a bridal shop that was closing down - it was a good size ( if not two sizes!) too big for me and had no shape on me. After discussing with Cathy about what I wanted, she listened and made valuable suggestions . Cathy ended up altering the whole dress (which has many layers) and I mean everything !Now, Cathy did take her time, and I understood that she wanted to do it carefully and properly.While she had my dress some bad reviews came up on this site about her work that obviously made me nervous - however I collected my dress yesterday and she has done a beautiful job. I am so pleased and grateful that I ignored the bad reviews .True, Cathy is not the quickest of workers - but give her the time that she needs to let her do ithe job properly and you will not be let down.A BIG thank you for all your hard work and sorry for giving you such a nightmare of a dress to alter !

Arrived just before my appointment for my wedding dress alteration. I was greeted at the door by someone on the phone, no hello, saw a lady behind also on the phone smoking infront of a sewing machine. Again no hello or explanation, instantly the smell of smoke hit me at the door. Noted that the window was open behind the sewing machine.As a non smoker the smell was very strong and unpleasant. Waitied for both of them to finish their conversations and asked which of them was Cathy. Cathy asked the other lady to leave, then said to me 'I don't normally smoke around the garments but I am very stressed'.Immediately regretted my descion to come and told Cathy I am uncomfortable coming in with my wedding dress.No apology or attempt to make me stay, left very unhappy.Would have been nice to know she smokes in the house before coming, waste of my time! Wouldn't want my dress to come back stinking of smoke, which is deffinitely would have done!!!!!
