The Old Well Garden Centre
Had lunch in this beautiful Garden Centre and as always not disappointed. The staff are marvellous, happy, cheerful and always really helpful and the food is perfect. Plenty of choice, delicious and services is faultless. I live in Dorset and meet up with family and friends from North Devon so this little treasure is perfect. Thank you.

Excellent place , large variety of plants and assorted food and other produce, plenty of free parking places. Downside they need to get people working in the cafe who can work faster, my husband stood in the queue for 10 minutes and there was 5 people in front of him, they were more interested in having a chat than serving customers

What have you done!!??? We used to love coming to the Old Well for cakes and lunch and have been for years. Apparently you've changed the management. New menu, new 30% increase in prices, new bigger plates, new minute size portions!!! The smallest piece of cod I've ever had and my wife's lunch was a joke! The smallest amount I've ever seen on a plate! Shame, staff are lovely and even looked and sounded embarrassed.Don't expect cakes between 12 and 2.30 they're hidden under the counter to get you to buy a meal! Won't be going there again, such a shame

Garden centre is great and have been happy with visits before. This time we tried the restaurant and it wasn't a great experienceWe waited for 20 minutes to be seated as the restaurant was full"... and then were shown into the half empty restaurant to our seats... where it remained at less than 50% occupancy. I expect these were bookings that people didn't turn up to.The food was relatively quick

I have just been treated like a idiot at the coffee shop, just because I have a stammer. The staff need more training on people skills and not to belittle us. I had thought the world had moved out of the dark ages, but obviously not. @stammauk

I have now moved away from the area, but whenever I come 'home' I like to visit the Old Well, one because of the quality and price of the plants.Two the cakes are good and also I like the new layout and it's always clean with friendly staffThe photos enclosed are some of the plants I've bought .The end of the season approaching so coming to the end but have been brilliant

Stopped in for a birthday cream tea. Really helpful staff. Food was yummy. Would definitely recommend.(Can't comment on the plants, but the cream tea won!!)Forgive the photos as they were taken in a rush as there was too much choice, but you get the idea!!

The Old Well Garden Centre
Great food. Cosy atmosphere. Almost impossible in main restaurant to get a table at lunchtime unless you pre-book. There is a coffee shop at the other end of the building which does soup/ toasties etc but even that gets very busy, so be warned!!Really lovely extensions to the property.Could spend hours here.
