Quick stop off on a walk the Sun was on way back to our caravan. Lovely outside area and enjoyed a few drinks and a sticky toffee pudding.

We walked in and sat at our table. The family was already there, and nobody came over to ask if we wanted any drinks to get up an order at the bar. Then, I had a long wait for a waiter to come and take out the order. Our food took over 1 hour and 45 minutes, which was after asking twice how long food was going to take kids was feed up waiting for food. Food wasn't good at all chicken was dry no sauce as it was hunters chicken the beef was dry over cooked nobody came back asked if we needed drinks again one had chips missing they took another 15 minutes so one had to share with the kid .

The pub was clean and the staff were nice and polite but the food wasn’t the best. I had to send my steak back twice, it was deducted off the price of the bill, which I was grateful for. I chose to not have it cooked again as everyone else had almost finished eating. The menu was also very limited, and the festive menu even more so. There were two options and one of them was a festive Mac and cheese! The menu online was also completely different to the actual menu. Not sure if I’d return.

This is a nice pub we come here on a Sunday afternoon to have a meal and drinks but today there's a mom to be party which we didn't mind but all the people were smoking/vapouring outside by the door where we were eating then we couldn't breathe as everyone was smoking/vapour we are also 75yrs old and asthmatic so we had to go in the rain to go in one of the huts to get away from the smoke it was terrible at we can breathe while we finish our drinks...we did ask the women at the bar if they could smoke there she said they could and there was nothing she could do.

The Sun has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Service was excellent & staff pleasant & helpful. Food & desserts were really well presented. Reasonable size car park

Pleasantly surprised, food was really tasty, and there was nothing the family didn't like, they have lots of choices of larger. Service was spot on, they had crayons on the table for the kids and checked in throughout the meal, we will definitely be returning, great value for money

Excellent, professional, friendly service from all staff. There was a large group of 10 of us and they catered for us perfectly. They got all of the orders correct as well as the food being excellent and coming out in a timely manner. Thank you

My wife recieved a tuna melt baguette with very little filling however, after showing one of the staff it was taken away and rectified. I had the mac and cheese which was really nice. The atmosphere was pleasant and, a good selection of beers. We will definitely be returning.
