Dojo Van Rel Shotokan Karate
Dojo Van Rel is a wonderful karate dojo. Our daughter has thrived under the care of Gabriel and his team. Gabriel is an inspired teacher - firm, clear, warm, full of praise and encouragement. Children's confidence grows steadily and they have a strong sense of achievement when progressing through their belt levels. It is very inclusive, everyone is made to feel welcome and encouraged equally. Children are not only taught karate skills, but are encouraged to look after themselves in a broader sense. Leadership opportunities exist for the older children. I am very pleased to have found this dojo many years ago and highly recommend it.

Dojo Van Rel Shotokan Karate
Gabriel Sensei and the Dojovanrel team are amazing, welcoming and supporting my daughter and me into their karate family since day one. From being a shy kid, my daughter has become more confident, disciplined and independent, and she absolutely adores Gabriel Sensei who is brilliant with kids. Both kids and adult classes are amazing - well-structured, mixture of fun games and great exercises. Gabriel Sensei is brilliant technically and he also breaks complicated concepts down so that everyone can understand. I’m glad that we have become a part of the Dojovanrel karate family!

Dojo Van Rel Shotokan Karate
Incredible instructors and every class is dynamic and full of fun. My kids love it. It definitely inspires confidence and there is a kind of belonging which is not often seen in other groups. Gabriel is genius with children and my boys adore him like all other children do. He just has this unique ability/gift of making a child that may be struggling or shy feel incredible. Purely magic classes and I am thrilled that my children are able to enjoy them.

Every week both my son and I look forward to training with Gabriel Sensei. He has a great teaching style and really gives his 100% every single time. He really cares and is passionate about what he does. The dojo has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and it’s a place where you don’t just learn karate but also improve your fitness, mental balance and confidence. Thank you Gabriel!

Gabriel is an awe inspiring teacher and person. My daughters have been attending for almost 2 years and he and his lovely team have been wonderful at instructing karate and generally instilling a sense of rigour in this discipline while always maintaining a gentle, kind and respectful approach. Highly recommended.

Would really recommend Dojo Van Rel - Gabriel and all the team work so hard to support the students. My son has been there for 3 years, and he enjoys every lesson. He has learnt amazing Karate skills, as well as confidence and control.

We love Dojo Van Rel. Sensei Gabriel and his team are caring, thoughtful, and brilliant at encouraging the children to put their best selves forward. Gabriel knows every child's name by heart, treats them with respect, and models a wonderful self-assurance. Our children are 9 and 6, and they both adore their classes. I cannot recommend this dojo more highly; we feel extraordinarily privileged to be a part of it.

Not just a fantastic Sensei but one of the warmest, kindest people you will ever meet. I train in the adult class, all are my friends, everyone is humble, there are no rivalries with other clubs. The dojo is well run, the standard is excellent. I feel very safe but challenged when I need to be. If you are looking to take your child here they’ll love it! The kids are really friendly but polite, all well behaved. If you’re thinking about giving karate a try or coming back to it after a break, you absolutely should do that, here! You will be welcomed with open arms.
