We were looking for free antenatal classes but with none available we searched for alternative options. We found Birthtalks which was conveniently located and ran at times that were suitable with work etc.Gemma was really welcoming and made sure that everyone in the group felt comfortable and got to know each other a bit. The classes were the perfect size and gave everyone the opportunity to get involved and ask questions.All the information we received was honest and practical and gave my partner and I (as first time parents), confidence that we would know what to expect throughout the pregnancy journey and into early parenthood.This class is worth every penny and I could not recommend it enough!

We found birthtalks to be absolutely invaluable in the lead up to the birth of our little boy. Gemma and Sam are passionate, informative and hilarious in equal measure and do an amazing job of condensing all the useful and practical information into the course without being overwhelming.Our son arrived 5 weeks early and although we weren't very prepared practically (we were in the wrong county at the time!), We felt very mentally prepared for the labour itself and what to expect, which took a lot of the anxiety and mystery out of the birth.From a man's perspective, I think that it allows us to be that little bit more informed and supportive and really advocate and look after your partner during labour.Thank you Gemma, Sam and Tanya for a great few evenings and for all your expertise!!

As a first time mummy, I wanted to prepare myself for labour and the postnatal period with my new baby.My husband and I attended the antenatal classes run by Sam and Gemma and were so impressed with their passion, knowledge and the ease of sharing it with others. The classes made us feel prepared to face the unknown.We have also met some amazing couples in the process, that have been a godsend when sharing experiences and seeking advice and reassurance post delivery.Sam and Gemma have really lent a personal and friendly hand when needed most.I would definitely recommend their classes to anyone local and preparing to become parents.

Sam and Gemma created a relaxed and safe environment to learn all about labour, birth and looking after baby. They were very knowledgeable and great at answering any and all questions thrown at them. The sessions were informative, interactive and got us working together to get to know the other new parents. Would highly recommend!

We had our class with Gemma a couple weeks ago.As a first time mum and dad, we were pretty clueless to everything regarding child birthSo it was a great experience learning together so we feel more prepared for the birth of our baby!Gemma was very friendly, approachable and clear with all the information provided and we felt comfortable to ask any questions, no matter how small!There was also food/drink provided throughout the day, which we was very grateful for!Thank you again! :)

I delivered a few days ago after attending the January class.It made such a difference to know what to expect during birth and postnatal care. It would have been very difficult to go through it all blindly.Having a first child is very scary so I am grateful to have had Gemma and Sam hold our hands throughout the process. Thank you so much Gemma! We did the intensive weekend course and this is great for anyone who's struggling to find time over multiple weeks to take ante-natal classes. My husband and I came out feeling really empowered with knowledge, confident and informed about going into labour, childbirth and beyond! Would recommend 100%

Gemma and Sam were amazing, really friendly, helpful and obviously passionate about what they do.A really comprehensive course that helped put us at ease. We left at the end feeling so much more prepared and ready to face parenthood!We had a great group too. The course can be as interactive as you want it to be. They always welcome questions and chat but, if like me, your preference is usually to observe, that's absolutely fine too.
